As someone who read Berserk like a hundred times, I have a positive bias but this game needs more work and innovation. Game lost its essence the moment they got shy in showing gore, decapitations, and blood. It's not Berserk if you are shy to show all that. Also the sound design needs more work, I wanna hear flesh gets split!

About This Game
The hit comic "Berserk" joins the "Warriors" series!
The dark and profound world of "Berserk," a dark fantasy comic series that has sold over 40 million copies, is faithfully reproduced in this game. The latest graphics shows the fierce quest for vengeance of the main character Guts, and the deadly combat he encounters alongside his friends.Experience the exhilaration of the “Warriors” series combined with an overwhelming destructive power!

Behold Berserk’s 1 vs. 1,000 slash and smash action!
The action of defeating hundreds of enemies, fundamental to the Warriors series, has been newly developed to match the world of "Berserk". In addition to the exhilaration of blowing away enemies, the main character, Guts, uses his giant man-sized sword "Dragon Slayer" to slay enemies using “Cleaving” and “Smashing” attacks for battles overflowing with power. In the original work, Guts and his friends face numerous hopeless battle conditions surrounded by enemy soldiers and monsters. In this game, players can experience the "overwhelming destructive power" that overturns such situations with a single swing of the sword.

Experience the extensive and profound story of the original with the latest graphics.
The main mode of this title includes the "Golden Age Arc," which is particularly popular among fans of the comic, through “The Hawk of the Millennium Arc," in which the hero Guts continues his journey of revenge and gains many irreplaceable friends.Key scenes and events between battles use powerful footage reproduced from 3D models and from the anime movies. In addition, interactions with the Band of the Hawk members, which were not portrayed in depth in the movie versions, can be enjoyed through in-game dialogue events.

Guts is not the only one who fights. A variety of playable characters!
Players can select not only the main character Guts, but his companions can be controlled as playable characters as the story progresses. In addition to the Band of the Hawk members and reliable wizards, a variety of popular characters from the original story, including non-humans with extraordinary powers, are available. Guts' powerful “slash and smash action," can be enjoyed along with the other attractive characters in the "Berserk" series and their distinctive set of skills.

I genuinely love the mindless gaming
Sick game. need to play it more.
I originally played this on the ps4 when it was announced by miura in one of the issues of berserk that i was reading and immediately pre-ordered it through best-buy and loving every second of it alot,8 years later, I was browsing during the spring steam sales, i found out the pc port released on the same day of the ps4 and bought it for my new and built pc.Looks so much better on pc with maxed out graphics, Pros Gameplay is a mindless hack and slash with blood, gore and its great(I wished it had more of it) cutscenes are mixed of in-game graphics and from the movie that came out during that time and imo is fine Bosses are repetitive especially for the genre it is and what that offers is solid given omega force is known for cons Sound design for the sword is great on armored enemies but i wished i could hear enemies flesh could get ripped and gutted apart which i will admit is not impactful when fighting non armored bosses or at the end with the ghost boss Overall its a fun turn off...
I only recently got into Berserk, and started reading the manga. And I have almost beat this game. I feel that this game doesn't do the manga complete justice? But it hits ALL of the high notes of the series. It includes some cinematics from the animated series, and some in-game animations, I prefer the latter as it seems more fitting with the game instead of playing scenes from the anime lol. I really enjoy the replayability and other things to do besides beat the story. You have endless mode, achievements, etc. So there is a lot to do. This can be played on Steam Deck for ya'll mobile gamers. 1. Disable Steam Overlay 2. Specifically choose Proton 8.0-5 for the game 3. Disable fullscreen in the game launcher 4. Enable media playback in the game launcher 5. Max resolution available is 1280*720, this works fine on the Steam Deck. 6. When the Windows 7 compatibility box pops up, select No. Choosing yes here causes problems even on Windows 10.
"I'm here for the story not the gameplay" is what I kept telling myself the entire play through. My first Dynasty Warriors esc game that l've played but l'm a HUGE Berserk fan. Sticker extremely close to the manga so l'm very happy about that. Assuming this came out shortly after the movies due to the first half of the game using the movie clips as the video games story cutscenes. That's a bit of a shortcut I think but I don't have a huge problem with it as I thought the movies weren't too bad. Gameplay in and of itself wasn't bad just new to me. Bosses were actually kind of challenging so not a bad game at all if you're a fan of the beautiful world Muira has made for us.
