This game is hard as hell. If S.O.S. had a spirit animal it would be a well hung Rhinocerus. Nothing will prepare you for getting repeatedly impaled by its mighty horn. S.O.S. is a callback to the coin op arcade style games of the 80’s, when games were less forgiving and designed by super nerds out to take your lunch money. The game's narrative, driven by the stories of a lonely old man kept me feeling like sh*t was about to hit the fan. And ohhhh boy did fans get hit. So just about right for being a secret agent. That being said you will reach save points after each completed mission. I got vibes of the original Metal Gear and Spy Hunter. The atmosphere, script and gameplay made me feel like I was in an 80’s spy movie and I felt like a secret agent. There was a time when The Agent was one of the most ass-kickingest special operatives on the block. Now, he's just your reclusive grandfather who doesn't give anyone the time of day - or didn't, until now. After granddad opens up to your mother again following years of solitude, you find yourself standing in front of his manor one rainy day for a weekend visit.
What follows is a tense, action-packed adventure spanning the various decades of The Agent's career. Acid-washed maniacs, a hulking mute with a gatling gun, tanks and soldiers and dogs - these only scratch the surface of the roller coaster.

Holy Crap.... This game is just straight up fun. Just roll around throwing grenades and shooting people. Cant play this game in public because it forces to make crazy meniacle faces from all the mayhem. You can shoot chairs and have them roll around...... Needs to support modding so that someone can make Chair Pong.... Or Breakout with chairs and explosive barrels.
SOS is if Hyper Light Drifter and Metal Gear had a baby. Great retro feel. Definitely some very memorable and tough boss fights.
