About This Game

Lord Mayor is a real-time strategy game with a vintage aesthetic that plays like a cross between a puzzler and a city builder. You play a newly minted Gentleman who is challenged to build cities that meet the demands of His Majesty the King. You are given a limited amount of time and resources, and must place buildings carefully to optimize their yield and promote various qualities on which the city is judged.

Each level is a new city that must be built from scratch, and each presents varying terrain and victory conditions. As you conquer each level you are promoted through the ranks toward the ultimate title of Lord Mayor.

Features

  • Fifteen unique, procedurally generated levels.
  • Twenty nine different building types and nine different terrain types.
  • Manage imports and exports to maximize the city's chances of success.
  • Victorian era user interface provides a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Features a soundtrack containing Classical works released under Creative Commons.

Lord Mayor is a great casual game. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is very well balaced and fun, and the music is great. This game has a great proper and dapper feel to it, which I find very charming. As of the time of writing this review I have played the game for literally 20 minutes and I'm already hooked. The best part is that it's only 2 bucks! That's the same price as a bag of chips, and if this game were a bag of chips, it would be Pringles. I enjoy this game and plan on playing it in the future, and I'm honored to be the first person to review this game.

I cannot tell if I'm just bad at this game or I just don't understand what it's asking for. An actual tutorial would help. Will update this if I can figure it out, but that is dependant on me going back to it.

Neat idea. I wouldn't buy it, even cheap, until game breaking bugs are fixed (at times, you enter the building select screen and when you leave it the screen fades but does not completely vanish, preventing you from building or doing anything at all). Also, because the game is real time, the building screen should pause time.

Not worth my time, the gameplay is the same, no variation.

Its literally $2 for a fun and very strategic game! This game has unique gameplay mechanics with buildings helping either population, food, happiness, prosperity, and culture. Each building also hurts one of the 3 stats happiness, prosperity, and culture, but it hurts on stat less than it helps the other, making it possible to balance. There is an annoying bug where you dont actually have to win correctly, whenevery your stats are going up or down, if they happen to line up like you are supposed to even though they are still going down past what you need you still win. Making possible to cheat. I do love this game, dont let my game time fool you as I have played much longer offline. Very fun and for the price its 100% worth it! If you like the strategy genre its a must-have and if you dont try it anyways, you may be suprised! 9.4/10

Very simple game. Same stratey works with all maps - just go for required population first and then just spray some buildings to reach required conditions. Good enough for short breaks but consider playing something like "Concrete Jungle" instead.

It's Two bucks. It is what it is. There are more interesting games for more or less. But hey ya gotta try it to like it. After getting out of the tutorial mission I realized it's just more of the same. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was. The funniest part is schools lower happiness. Who knew being dumb was being happy? Anyway. have a nice day and thanks for reading. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a meh.

It's a 2 dollar game. Improving the UI interface would make it a lot better without much work I think. Modest level of entertainment. Would be a definite no if it was 5 bucks.
