About This Game

Through enticing the dark elf priestess Thalya from the fluffy clutches of the surface world to become his chief lieutenant, the Dungeon Lord has found a way to direct his campaign of conquest from the confines of his underground lair. With Thalya on the front line, and the united forces of evil to support her, players will have to use every trick in the book to best those do-gooders of the overworld, once and for all!

Unleash your dark side by creating a unique underground dungeon from a huge array of rooms, traps and structures. Raise the most terrifying army the world has ever seen, by choosing from despicable creatures such as orcs, succubae, zombies and much, much more. Then, once you have built your forces, emerge from the darkness and guide your army to the light of the overworld, where you will corrupt the land and dispatch anything even vaguely heroic, cute or unicorn-shaped. And in a first for the Dungeons series, experience randomly generated levels, so that no two sessions are alike – never-ending fun for any evil conqueror!

  • The dungeon manager you’ve been waiting for: Dungeons 3 is the biggest, best, and evil-est dungeon sim yet, topped off with a fully reworked overworld RTS mode.
  • Under new management: Command the united forces of evil under the guidance of new character Thalya and lead them to victory.
  • Size does matter: Extensive single player campaign with 20 missions and more than 20 hours of playtime, randomly generated levels, a brand new co-op mode for two players, more rooms, and more unique abilities.
  • Speak (no) evil: The fan-favourite Dungeons narrator is back with his unmistakable voice, continuing the Dungeons legacy in the best way possible.

I'll post my main gripe upfront - if you hate tryhard, cringey millennial humour and constant references to various movie/TV/game franchises without an ounce of originality, don't buy this game. I had it on my Steam wishlist for years and finally decided to drop a few pennies on it one day when it went on sale. And while I do love the gameplay, the narrator and the main character constant meme-y and unoriginal reference humour really, really put me off. Christ! Make it stop! One or two would have been tolerable, but it's the only kind of humour this game has. It's like being stuck in endless Channel Awesome rerurns. Which is a real pity because, as I already mentioned, the gameplay is very good if you liked Dungeon Keeper back in the day. If somehow you can stomach the cringe, then you might get something out of this.

Almost brought the Dungeon Keeper 1/2 itch back, good graphics but not quite as deep and immersive.

It's good fun, great humour, and generally I like strategy games with management elements, so if you like them, it's highly recommended. Sometimes it feels quite slow, but still enjoyable.

Yes, it's 2025 and yes, I'm still recommending this game. Took me back to my old WCIII days in the funniest way possible! I'd give it a perfect 5/7 score!

I really love the premise for this game. Building up a dungeon and controlling evil minions just sounds like a lot of fun. It took me about 27 hours to play through the campaign and mostly I had a lot of fun so it was worth buying on the whole but there are definitely some frustrating things as well. Firstly the campaign narrative is just incredibly annoying. It isn't too bad for 5 minutes but after 27 hours all I wanted was for the narrator to shut up. The campaign has very little actual story but there is a nice progression as you get new rooms or units each mission. The campaign missions had some variations but mostly each mission was pretty similar and your approach to building the dungeon was also pretty similar. I was really looking forward to building a labyrinthe of traps in my dungeon but unfortunately this doesn't work very well. Traps are expensive and time consuming to make and don't have a huge effect. Also your dungeon often has several entrances so it is hard to cover ...
