I found this game irritating even though I tried to force myself to like it. It overly complicated everything. Takes way too long to get into and to build anything of depth. The complicated nature of it takes the fun out of building cool coasters. If you have time to sink 48 hours on the design of a single wall panel of one bathroom, then this might be for you. If you want something more accessible and fun with a UI that doesn't make you want to rub sand in your eyes, get Parkitect.
Rides, Riches, and Roller Coasters: The Ultimate Park Management Sim
Score: 9/10 You know those moments when you're just daydreaming about building your own epic theme park? Well, Planet Coaster is pretty much that daydream come to life. What I love most about this game is how it perfectly balances being a creative sandbox with being a real business simulation. The building part is the best bit, but you still have to be a park manager. You have to ensure your guests are happy, pay your staff, and turn a profit. It adds a great layer of challenge that makes all your creative efforts feel like they have a purpose. The management stuff is easy to get the hang of and never feels like a drag. The community is a game-changer. The Steam Workshop is full of incredible stuff other players have made, so you'll never run out of new ideas or amazing things to download for your park. The game's a total feast for your eyes and ears, too. The art style is so vibrant, and the an...
I've wanted to have this game even before I made a Steam account. Growing up as a theme park fanatic the dream of creating a theme park and having loads of customization with it was on the top of my list. One of my favorite games ever made, it delivers what it promises.
I've just been in sandbox mode this whole time. Who doesn't want infinite money to create your own park of themes! lol Fun game!
I’m sure the game itself is fine. Avoid this on the steam deck, I’m sure it’s great on the computer but this sadly was hell on the deck or really it seems any tycoon type games unless maybe somebody has any recommendations that could work well on it :(
my roller coaster exploded and all of the guests started crying right after, up to this point ive never resonated with so many NPCs in a video game. this game is a must try
Fun, but quite clunky. This has more options than the sequel, but is harder to use
Yeah this game doesn't really give you a tutorial or at least it didn't for me. While there is sandbox mode there's no reason to feel accomplishment as anything you do doesn't matter because you can do anything while never losing money. As for the basic mode it feels like it was made by someone who knows better and that just upsets me. I feel like there's nothing to improve so why do anything? It's got good root's but I don't really like it.
