Looks like it could probably be fun if it was given a modern control scheme. As it is, it's extremely awkward to play.

The Original Killing Time
A sophisticated shooter laced with gallows humor. Killing Time is no shallow grave. Its depth is well-conceived. Puzzle solving and strategic thinking are placed at a premium. The visceral violence is complemented by paranormal graphics and a super(natural) storyline. Killing Time is a fright-fest for the true aficionado of first-person corridor mayhem.
OST in MP3 format is included! (Check inside the folder called "Bonus")
Features:
- Listen to the remembrances of the 7 video-real apparitions and ghostly guests. They offer clues as to what past heinous acts actually transpired in the cursed mansion.
- Look up and down - turn around with a complete 360 view. The three-dimensional mansion offers outdoor areas, staircases and intricately detailed ceilings and floors.
- The original music makes this old haunt strongly inviting, eh? But beware. Every room, every passage in the estate holds dreadful dangers.
- Enjoy continuous gameplay with no load time between areas.

User Reviews
Killing Time is one of the best 3DO games and really one of the best narrative-driven FPS games I've ever played, but this version is not optimized for modern systems and the only existing community patch I found doesn't actually fix the issue of the game crashing. Nightdive Studios' remake is now just the default option for playing this game. The PC game weirdly has worse graphics than the 3DO version, and the Nightdive Studios version uses the 3DO graphics. It also runs way smoother than the 3DO version, along with modernizing the controls, so really it's just the go-to for playing this game now. This version is work to get running and even if you do you're still going to be dealing with visual anomalies, sound issues, crashing, etc.
