Review from 2018: More of a walking sim that I had anticipated as I thought there would be more puzzles in the game, there were a few inventive puzzles though not enough, the games story didn’t really grab me because it isn't until the end that you have an idea what is really going on, the game looks great however

This is an intriguing game. You are given no information at the start and I very quickly found myself searching for a guide. The story is hinted at and kept me interested to continue playing. It is almost impossible to complete without a guide which I found frustrating - enough so, that when I completed the game I didn't feel compelled into going back and replaying sections to collect the bits I had failed to during my first run. Some of the sections (in particular the underwater bit where you need to complete the swim using just one air bubble) I found very hard and the description in the guide I was using was vague and not a lot of help.

Rime is a beautiful game with clever puzzle design, not too difficult or time consuming, but absolutely worth the time I invested. No spoilers, but it's a lovely allegory in game form that has stayed with me well after finishing.
