There's no pleasing the people in Tropico 6. Like for real, not a single actions had any influence on the population happiness meters. I covered my island in taverns and circuses and theaters, fun quality went up 1%. Chapels every 100 yards? 2% faith quality. I gave free housing edicts in the best mansions I could buy. I arrested opposing faction leaders. I even tried bribing every member of of my faction! (Yes, $3000 x 160 revolutionaries. My Swiss accountant was NOT happy.) There were extremely happy individuals in my corrupt little paradise, but they would not let me lead. What do you people want from me??? So anyway, T6 feels broken. These kinds of actions would have completely turned the game around in Tropico 3-4. I'm lost and want the good old days where my cigars had real tobacco.

About the Game
El Presidente is back!In times of political turmoil and social unrest, the people are calling for visionary leaders, who will steer the fate of their country with foresight and ingenuity. Prove yourself once again as a feared dictator or peace-loving statesman on the island state of Tropico and shape the fate of your very own banana republic through four distinctive eras. Face new challenges on the international stage and always keep the needs of your people in mind.
For the first time in the series, manage extensive archipelagos, build bridges to connect your islands and use new means of transportation and infrastructure. good city builder, not as in-depth as a certain paradox game, but i prefer this anyway
$250-ish (can) for the complete bundle? Wow is this worth it?
I have loved the Tropico series since the beginning! Who doesn't want to try their hand at being El Presidente? I loved seeing the returning cast of characters, being able to get closer to ground lever than ever before, and having some customizable aspects, allows me to build the dict'ist island of my dreams! However, it is a strategy and resource management game and is not, in my opinion, beginner friendly. Tropico 6 has more complex mechanics, like trade, that you have to wrap your head around in order to be fully effective (a.k.a. rake in that money). I'm not a fan of overly complicated systems, so I either have to struggle through it, find a guide, or just bail some scenarios.
its fun not as good as tropico 5 but its good. Its definitely a difficult game
This game is a instant classic, one of the best sims around where you balance building a island nation while managing econ, politics, trade routes, supply chains, political factions and so on! its a blast and the music is just as good if not better than the game hahaha! Thank you devs for your hard work!
This is a solid next entry in the Tropico line of games, but there are some drawbacks that can't be overlooked. Tropico has always been a city builder that liked to mock city builders. The entire banana republic scheme is well executed by the developers, as it has been for a few cycles now. And really, that's also part of the problem with Tropico 6; it's still essentially Tropico 5 just with some minor behind the scenes tweaks. If you've played Tropico, what you're going to find in this game is some minor UI changes, a bit of an upgrade to AI in places (and downgrades in others), and updated graphics. The music, theme, and many of the buildings are the same as they've been. The economy management is still a big problem area, and the tools that have been needed for several iterations are still absent. Overall, I would compare this game to a Pizza Hut pizza: you get it because it's consistent and decently satisfying, not because it's innovative or exciting.
I like killing my political opponents
great game
The best game as it right now in the Tropico saga.
