I still remember young me playing this game for the first time back on the Xbox 360... scared of everything except the spiders... I was chased up the mountains by mammoths before being incinerated by a dragon... I quit the game for a week after a jumpscare from a wolf... I was a jumpy kid. My family got the special edition for the Xbox One a few years later, and I picked the game back up... Skyrim became a permanent part of my person... Miraak and Hermaeus Mora became some of my most favorite characters in gaming, and was one of the things that made me the lore lover I am today... Never made any of my characters marry, but I wanted mods to adopt all the poor children instead of just two... it hurt me to adopt only two and leave others to a sad life... and Finally, I got Skyrim for my computer... even if it took a minute to get used to... I still adore this game so much... it's flaws and bugs have made memorable moments, it's caves have both entertained and infuriated me... and ...

The greatest elder scrolls title, no the greatest RPG game ever made, out of all three Elder Scrolls and other RPGs that I have played Morrowind, Oblivion, The Witcher 1, 2, and 3. Cyberpunk, Darksiders 1 and 2, etc. Skyrim stands out to be my most favourite, and trust me when I say this I have played all of them. With over 1000 hours on the PS3, few hundred on the PS4, and now more on PC I grew up playing Skyrim. Currently running Nolvus Awakening V6 and boy oh boy Skyrim the game that we came to love is now modern with better combat, better visuals, and enhanced SFX, You should definitely give that modlist a try if you're planning on a new run in this game.

As one of the rare few that actually finished the game instead of uninstalling right after being done with installing the mods I wanted, I can say that this game is actually decent.

This game isn't just a fantasy epic to me; it's a time capsule. I remember pre-ordering Skyrim for the Xbox 360 in 2011 (having played the previous entries in the series) and sinking countless hours into it during a very specific and special period of my life. The game is deeply tied to that nostalgia, and every time I play, it takes me right back.

Back in high school, i played a pirated Skyrim :) i was also writing song lyrics at the time, and Skyrim was a huge source of inspiration for me. I’ll be playing the Special Edition for the first time... now it’s time for some nostalgia and lyric writing :).

The best game ever made and easily Bethesda's peak, it peaked so much that they have been re-using Skyrim's design in every new game since, Fallout 4, Fallout 76 or even Starfield but they've never been able to top this game. There are countless dungeons or environments to explore which will give you new ideas on where to go or what to do in your next playthrough, always new things to find each time you play. It is extremely satsifying to level up your skills and stats and it is also very simple to do as well, you just have to pick everything up to sell, use in alchemy, enchanting or smithing etc. Some might even say that the game is a grind but I can say it can hardly be, you just need to be clever enough to exploit it's systems and it's also pretty easy to do to be honest. I'm also glad that Bethesda keeps the original version of the game for sale instead of outright removing it from being accessible, as it has Workshop functionality as well as a better art style than Special Edit...

It's Skyrim, Bethesda's last great title. I'd say try a mod-list like Lorerim to make the experience even better.

My favorite game of all time. I played Skyrim for the first time in middle school on a friend's PS3 and it changed my understanding of what video games could be. Still holds up as one of the greatest open world games 14 years later. For maximum enjoyment, play while RPing. Give your Dragonborn a backstory and personality and watch how the epic story plays out.
