Mount & Blade is a total fulfillment for childhood dreams of crowns and conquest. It was the first PC game I ever played. I remember every Spring Festival when I went back to my hometown for family reunion the biggest excitement was to play Mount & Blade with my cousin. We raided villages, stormed castles, and laughed until the fireworks faded. I ain't got no pennies to buy the game back then, so I once copied the desktop icon onto my flash drive, praying it would run on my Dad's computer—it didn’t, but the hope still glows. Years gone by my cousin has married and become a father, while I still boot up the game from time to time. The graphics aged, yet the freedom feels eternal: one more caravan to chase, one more castle to take, one more kingdom to overthrown. Swadian knights thunder, Vaegir arrows darken the sky, hearing phantom hoof beats on familiar plains. Mount & Blade is not just as a game for me but as a keepsake of brotherhood and boundless imagination.

This game is addictive as hell. One can play the base version of it and have a great time conquering Calradia, then download some of the many, many mods created by the community and having a different, sometimes a completely new experience, and have even more fun than during the first play-through. I lost thousands of hours playing this game, and yet I keep coming back over and over again. Totally worth it.

Great game. Play Diplomacy.Litdum for best expirience, if there are something you dont like there - it probably can be set up differently or tweaked.

game is a banger despite it being a decade old, playing as a conqueror is really fun. also its thanks to the still active modding community to this day, still keeping the game alive and fun. I recommend playing the Gekokujo, World of Vasnar, and AWOIAF mod :)

Chivalry and Mordhau are dead, but this game is where they first got the idea.

I played the base game before, it was pretty good. I decided to install the Warhammer mod this time around. I refuse to buy any food other than cheese. I sit on hills and snipe Bretonnian knights off their horses (or snipe their horses which is hilarious). I pillage the Wood Elves because they deserve it. The Dwarves think I'm sus, I promise I'm not. The Empire are getting diddled by Chaos and it's hilarious. I ride a giant rat and run over High Elves while their donut's getting eaten by undead pirates. 10/10, obviously.

The goat of RTS RPGs. Doesn't need a crazy machine to play, modding is as easy as installing the game from Steam. The mods available for this game make it so this is actually 100 games in one. Could not have any better words or experiences for this masterpiece.
