It's a good game if you really love playing challenging puzzle games. Its a trial and error game, so you die (a lot) to find the right approach. Overall it's a good game you can finish in a span of 1-2 days with a dark theme and good visuals. Trying to 100% this game sucked the soul out of me.
a nice puzzle game, but a lot of the puzzles rely on pixel perfect execution just to waste you're time and prolong the game like that
this game is cool, definitely worth more than a dollar, but the fact that this game was on sale for that much is insane to me. i don't normally play 2d platformers, especially not story mode 2d platformers like limbo, but i would definitely come back to this game in the future. the only reason i stopped playing to write this review is because the part where you have to use the box to cross the water has me completely stumped. pretty cool game overall tho. i like the art style a lot, reminds me of a picture book honestly and the ragdoll physics when your character dies kinda makes me laugh at times. pick this up while it's marked down.
Really cool vibe. Lots of cool puzzles. Also, disturbing gore
Rating: ★★★★★ (Overwhelmingly Positive) Review: Wow… Limbo is creepy, beautiful, and surprisingly sad all at once. It’s this black-and-white puzzle platformer where you guide a little boy through a really dark and mysterious world. The puzzles make you think, the atmosphere is eerie as heck, and sometimes you get genuinely scared even though it’s just shadows and silhouettes. The best part? It’s simple but smart. No flashy graphics, no loud music—just pure mood and tension. Every time you solve a puzzle or escape some trap, it feels super satisfying. Also, deaths are brutal but funny in a “aww, you fell again” way. If you like games that are moody, clever, and a little unsettling, Limbo is a must-play. It’s short, but it sticks with you. “Creepy, clever, and sad… I died more times than I can count, but it was worth every shadowy moment.”
Nice gameplay, nice atmosphere, nice mechanics. But why ist it so. unneccesarily. hard. Would still be stuck if it wasnt for online guides. If you like trial and error or pixel perfectly timed solutions to puzzles, go for it. Otherwise... dont't.
I picked up this game again after at least 2 years because I finally decided to get the last achievement, I didn't remember the game too much so it was like a first experience. This is still today a nice Puzzle game/Platformer. It gives at most 2 hour of gameplay for the first run, but the last achievement gives an interesting challenge that is not too punishing just because the game ends in 1 hour. Overall very fun to play I'd say it's worth to try it!
This game has a wide range of emotions for Something so 2 :D Check out my gameplay on YT: https://youtu.be/FtLCSz02zEQ
Limbo is a 2D platformer centered around puzzles. It's a short game (3-4 hours to complete and 8-12 to get all achievements). From the start and until the end you don't get that many hints to what's happening, so the mystery is there all the way through. The game can be frustrating at times, but that just elevates the reward. I personally like that you have to learn through trail and error to succeed, and that the game doesn't hold your hand. It's a really good game that has great stylized graphics that have really aged well since it's launch. Now I'm going to watch someone on Youtube explain the lore.
