About the Game

It is the year 2062 and humanity is at the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that has infested Earth for decades and served as the primary reason for years of relentless conflict between the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod, is close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. Mankind is on the verge of extinction when Kane, Nod’s prophetic leader, emerges from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he has developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power.

 • The Spoils of War - The more enemies you destroy, the more experience points you earn for upgrading your faction and unlocking powerful new weapons.

 • Choose Your Class - Command more units than in any other Command & Conquer game! Choose the Offense, Defense, or Support class, each with its own specialized units and powers to match your style of play.

 • Always on the Move - Introducing the Crawler, your all-in-one mobile base. Pack up and redeploy across the battlefield for a new layer of strategic depth.

This game was my childhood. I have fond memories of inserting the disk and playing for hours. So I go to buy it again? Play through it and relive the glory days? Can't log in. It's just not supported anymore. #StopKillingGames

Horrrible. Bad gameplay. Bad mission design. Bad story. Not even worth to just "finish the Tiberium-Saga-Story". A shame it's called Command & Conquer. Avoid. At all cost.

Like many others have said, this game has had everything that made C&C what it was gutted from it. Even looking at the gameplay itself, removed from all the baggage of being an incredible letdown to the end of the Tiberian Timeline, it's just not fun. The XP system sucks, the gameplay is no fun, the story is nonsense, and it still remains the only C&C game I've played that I have decided to not finish. I just couldn't do it, it is devoid of the ability to entertain.
Command & Conquer™ 4 Tiberian Twilight
I know it's not you Commander, but whoever is responsible for this treachery will feel my wrath! In the meantime, obliterate what remains of GDI. Nuke them, if you wish! Kane Lives Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Once again the world is quick to bury me... How could my own brothers believe what transpired at Temple Prime did not unfold exactly as I planned. Of course I could not have planned for an ambush BY MY OWN FORCES! Of all of Kilian's offenses, and they are legion, her proclamation that the Visitors are a greater enemy than GDI is an affront for everything. I have planned for the Brotherhood! For this sin she must be punished, you will take a team of your best soldiers and storm our Australian base. Kilian is dug in there, capture her alive if possible but spare no one in her charge. Kane Lives Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. tl;dr: Is it worth to play for the story? barely yes, just because of Kane's existence, though there is no new revelation. Otherwise absolutely no, not worth it. Don't expect new lore details, everything is new and unrelated to previous lore. --- Finished the campaign recently on both sides. I was about to uninstall twice during that, but i really wanted to at least see the "story". I finished the campaign without using high end tech like super weapons because it's all locked behind rank ups. It's just bad. For anyone who is wondering if it's worth playing just for the story, i'd say "barely yes" and that's mainly just because of Kane, might be nostalgia, idk. There is nothing interesting about the story, no new relevant lore pieces or discoveries except the portal, which is sadly totally out of place, in it's appearence and it's purpose in the story (no purpose). Everything that appears in C&C 4 is "new" and absolutely has no ties to previous lore, again, except Kane.

Back in the day I purchased the physical version of the game, and played a lot. I can't deny that this entry in the game series differs a lot from the classic C&C formula. I can't deny it and I'll not attempt to deny it. If you can't stand such difference, then go away. This game is not for you. I can recommend this game, however, because I liked it. Yes, it's different, but in some twisted way, I liked what I saw. I played and finished the physical version of the game a couple of times. That's why I can recommend it even when I haven't played much in Steam.
