The difficulty is in completely unbalanced damage player receive, slow player character model and utterly bonkers ammunition system. Fire, regardless of source, drains your HP almost instantly, and the player character is unresponsive enough that you can't really escape from the danger zone. And enemies spawn out of thin air.
