OK back to the usual description;

Death Squared is a cooperative puzzle game for 1, 2 or 4 players, best enjoyed with loved ones who don't mind a little arguing for the greater good. It's quick to pick up and play. Fast to Fun and one of the few co-op puzzle games where anyone, young and old can play.

Prove your teamwork skills in Death Squared as you solve puzzles together or die trying! Each player needs to guide a robot to a colour-coded goal, but the path is beset with deadly traps and hazards. Teams of players will need close observation and communication to keep each other alive and discover a solution together.

Complete the main campaign with one or two players, then take a group into four-player Party Mode for the ultimate teamwork trial! For those that can't get enough, head to the 'Vault' to find extra experiments recommended only for the brave.

Features:

  • every level is a micro-journey of: surprise > discovery > mastery > success

  • Full voice acting by Ricepirate Mick. He's a legend

  • 80x puzzling levels in the Story levels

  • 40x 4 Player Party levels

  • 45x Vault Levels (too hard for the main game)

  • New for 2025: 42 new 2 Player levels in Extra Vault

Welcome to the bottom of the Steam page and since you're hear we can ramble on about the game

  • Is this a sokoban game? We'll in this game YOU are the blocks. But you also push around other blocks so I guess it is a sokoban puzzle game.

  • We even have a fully voiced, funny story that plays out throughout the 80 story levels. Will Dave make it through to the end?

  • Fun fact the game is called RORORORO (ロロロロ) in Japan which happens to be one of our most popular regions for the game. And the kanji ロ means mouth but also looks like our bots. And then ロロロロ could be also seen as "argument" so in hindsight we wish we called the game this from the start.

  • The game was made in Sydney Australia and started out as a Global Game Jam game. Hence the punny title which we just rolled with

  • We have the Nintendo Switch to thank for making this game not a complete financial failure but in the 7 years since release we've been able to maintain a constant trickle of sales and it's still been one of those "hidden gems" in the co-op puzzle genre.

Absolutely boring. The controls are a piece of garbage, you can't even move your fucking cube normally. It is always a problem to try to move and not fucking up what you've done. In single player, I don't know if i'm just fucking stupid, but it's too confusing to play, Please don't buy this, save your money. I really tried but I just couldn't continue.

There's so few decent couch co-op games these days. This one is superb.
