Darksiders 1-3 - 100% Completion - Short Review Franchise Score: 8/10 Been much too long since i played these games to give them a proper review but decided to make this short review in anticipation and support of the newly announced Darksiders 4 game. Overall this game and the others in the franchise are all amazing games with fun combat, good story and overall just old school gaming fun really and i enjoyed all of them, so if your in doubt, don't be, their great and you will have fun playing them, but as always, It's.. Up.. To.. You, and i'll leave it at that (^_−).

About the Game
Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth.
Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.
Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.
- Apocalyptic Power – Unleash the wrath of War, combining brutal attacks and
supernatural abilities to decimate all who stand in your way
- Extreme Arsenal – Wield a devastating arsenal of angelic, demonic and Earthly
weapons; and blaze a trail of destruction atop Ruin, War’s fiery phantom steed
- Epic Quest – Battle across the wastelands and demon-infested dungeons of the
decimated Earth in your quest for vengeance and redemption
- Character Progression – Uncover powerful ancient relics, upgrade your weapons,
unlock new abilities, and customize your gameplay style
- Battle Heaven and Hell – Battle against all who stand in your way - from war-weary
angelic forces to Hell’s hideous demon hordes

I loved the voice acting and the art style of early 2000s games but man does the game towards the end get repetitive its literally endless puzzles and I'm a fan of puzzle games but the puzzles aren't interesting to complete . I didnt complete the game but I got my fill of the fun combat and maybe I'll come back to finish it but I wouldn't recommend this game
doesnt respect your time, lacks direction littered with puzzles that are just artificial playtime extenders however it is worth it purely for the magnificent art direction just wish it had more concrete vision in terms of gameplay and not try to be every single game in existence at the same time
There's a bug that if you lose an angel-key-sword, you will not have a way to progress in the game without cheating or load a save backup. Play it saving every time, because you will need it sometime. I lost my save, so I won't do 6 hours playthrough again.
Legendary game with a quite enjoyable mix of Zelda-like puzzles, God-of-War-Combat and a unique setting with you being one of the Four Horsemen. Go get it! You won't regret it.
Good game but they should add a sprint button and the horse is so janky to use
A Zelda-esque character action classic that holds up where it matters most
The first Darksiders is a great character action game that delivers a balanced experience, between puzzles, combat, story and exploration. In a weird way, the gameplay structure is very reminiscent of Zelda: You have to go through multiple dungeons where you will unlock new tools that will be used as a gimmick against the main boss of this dungeon. The twist is its dark tone, its unique lore and the excellent storytelling.
Pros:
- Great character action combat (Think, devil may cry/ God of war/ Bayonetta) that still holds up with a few hiccup. A good re-introduction to the genre if you haven't played for a while. - Interesting and unique Lore around the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. - Excellent story and characters, even if these aspect are more back loaded. I immediately started the second one after this. - Badass artstyle if you like edgier character designs (Spawn comes to mind) - All game...
Good gameplay, graphics and story. loved it.
I've finally finished a playthrough of Darksiders Warmastered Edition (I hate the last dungeon, not as bad now but I'm still not a fan of them) now I can give my proper opinion of Darkiders 1. Let's the start with the good, for a 7th generation hack n slash game it still holds up pretty well with some fun and rewarding exploration, solid dungeon design, weapon upgrades, Mark Hamill as the Watcher, and a sick final boss fight but as much fun as I had with Darsiders 1 and it being my introduction game to the series back on ps3 I do however still prefer Darksiders 2 and 3 over 1 (I know that is quite an unpopular opinion especially in my case with Darksiders 3) 2 and 3 just have more going for them 2 the scope of the game, far more interesting mechanics, Death's personality, and the boss fights as for 3 I'm always down for a solid Metroidvania with Souls like/ARPG mechanics, I enjoy her sassy attitude, and the seven deadly sins boss battles (although the watcher from 1 will always be supp...
I did it. I finally did it and beat this damn game. It's not hard. It's just not all that entertaining in the end. Everything seemed like a chore, and as an attempt at merging zelda and god of war, it pales it comparison to each. The game is, functionally, just fine. The graphics, the sound, the design, it's all fine. And that's probably the game's biggest sin, that it never dares to step out of the generic. The few good ideas the game has, like riding your horse or the portal device, come so late in the game you're probably bored half to death by the time you get them. And then you'll be like me; too far in to quit. I'm just happy I made it so I can say I did it and I can play something else. And delete this thing off my hard drive. An actual negative is the camera seems bugged where it will randomly change directions abruptly--like 90-180 degrees change. Yes it causes deaths. You should just play god of war instead. You should just play zelda instead. Unless you are just FIENDING...
