This is a great rhythm game! The trailer really doesn't do it justice - the game looks and feels much better in action. Gameplay is so simple and satisfying. Music is absolutely amazing and everything is synced up perfectly. Worth every $. Hell, for amount of fun you get out of this game I'd say it's worth twice as much!

About This Game
Audio Arena is a single player arena game in which the gameplay is generated by music. The arena stretches 360 degrees around you and the enemies get spawned on the beat of the music.
Dodge your enemies using Gaze or Motion controls. Powerups are placed in the arena to kill your foes. Picking them up on the beat of the music increases your sync bonus for higher scores.
At the end of the song you score will be recorded, if you can make it that far.

You're in a cylinder. You move a space ship on the inner surface (excluding bottom and top) using a controller of your choice (even gaze control is available). You avoid hitting colored circles and try to pick up the powerups that kill them. When you pick up a powerup, you try to match the beat of the song. There's enough content to last almost two hours if you try to get 3 stars for all songs (easy) and all the achievements (fairly difficult). If you need more after that, you can compete on the global leaderboards. Apparently those offer good competition, since I only got into the top10 for one song during my 1.7 hours. The price is right, controls work and you can play standing or sitting. If you're interested in a 2D Xortex, you should definitely give this one a go.
A great game and a very enjoyable VR experience. Some sense of rhythm recommended :)
So I got this game in a bundled sale (added on game for about $1.50 extra when I bought another game on sale that I wanted) and I didn't think i would like it that much, but I figured it's only $1.50, no big deal if it ends up being a turd. I ended up loving this game and not liking the other game so much (a mini-golf game by same dev). Bullet hell games don't really appeal to me. But this is not exactly that. Games controlled by gaze also don't really appeal to me (luckily, you can guide the ship with motion controls or gamepad). This is actually one of the most fun VR music rhythm games and it's very different than anything else out there in VR. One of the reasons I didn't want this game is because I just didn't see what VR would bring to the table to this type of game. It's not like you need a depth of field to play this game. But oh boy, was I wrong. VR makes this game even better because you have a screen that just keeps moving to wherever you're headed. The music is n...
Loving this game. Few minutes to pick it up and once you do you're hooked.
Only been able "read allowed"to play this for a short time but had a fun time and know this is well worth recommending others buy. Music is unexpectedly good and the movement and gameplay feel immediately natural. Whilst this isn't a particularly immersive vr experience, anyone that likes fun music / reaction titles will dig this. Really looking forward to playing this one again. Give it a go.
I'm a sucker for games with good music
