garbage port of a phenomenal 'directors cut' seriously, this game somehow runs better on console then my RTX 4070.
goat'd co-op. DR2 but more, and apparently a lil harder
PC version is a bit janky in comparison to playing on console like I grew up with. Sometimes it takes a while to connect to multiplayer games & you have to try a few times before it works. Overall, I do love this game & franchise & I've played it multiple times & the current playthrough I'm not will likely not be the last. If you're into open world & zombies, this is definitely a game that you will enjoy!
My personnal opinion : I'd like to mention that i played Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2 OTR on Xbox 360, xbox one and Steam before writing this review and with the latest purchase being the Steam one i am very disappointed. The game is very bad like on the Xbox One, it feels like a rushed Copy Paste of Dead Rising 2 with some added files left and right. There are tons of invisible walls that can be very infuriating when trying to do the gold medals challenges, the zombies are way more agressive than regular Dead Rising 2 to say the least, they detect you from 15 meters away and they hit you/grab you from so far away it is ridiculous. The AI/bots are very inconsistent (zombies grabs but also survivors). The game is already designed to be a bit harder than Dead Rising 2 by default but the bugs make it even harder. The Chuck Green boss get very easily stuck on bareers but if you are in the wrong angle and he hits you against it you can also get insta killed even if full health. Some bo...
this game is about how being balding, fat, ugly and washed up is worse than being in a horrible zombie outbreak
I guess you can say this game is FANTASTIC!!!
needs a remaster
Download x360ce so you can use your controllers. Great game just lame that the port doesn't have controller support.
TL;DR: Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is a fun zombie sandbox beat 'em up game that spins off the Dead Rising franchise with popular character Frank West from the first installment as the protagonist, featuring the usual quirky humor and dramatic story line. This port of this game available on computer is unfortunately riddled with a lot of bugs however, inhibiting game-play and making it difficult for me to justify recommending others play. Full Review: I have been an avid fan of the Dead Rising games since the early 2010s and find myself frequently revisiting them over the years. As of writing this review, I have just reached almost 100 hours on Dead Rising: OTR and achieved 100% achievement completion of the game. With that being said, I thought it was time to write a review on this timeless classic in the zombie genre. Dead Rising: OTR is a spin-off of Dead Rising 2, replacing the canonical protagonist Chuck Greene of that game with the series first protagonist from the original ...
