Please note: The multiplayer has a very low player base. We are currently working on getting multiplayer bots to help get matches going. This will take some time unfortunately. Thank you for your patience.
About the Game
Spider Wars is a fast-paced shooter in which you can either work with your fellow spiderkin, or blow them up for glory. Or sport. Our spiders can traverse any solid surface at any angle. Want to get an edge by walking on the ceiling, raining death from above? Or how about reenacting nursery rhymes with the closest spout? No problem! Just run up to objects and the spiders will attach themselves, allowing you complete freedom in your ascent.
What game about spiders would be complete without the ability to build webs? We don't know. What we do know however, is that you can build them in this game. String webs strand by strand to construct whatever your heart desires. Your ideal spider fortress is now within reach. Perhaps you are not much of a builder; fret not! Use your web to swing around like a certain costumed human who has been stealing all the glory that rightfully belongs to spiderkind. No radiation involved.
Teamwork and our spiders' complimentary abilities plays a large role in our team-based game modes. *
Those same abilities can be used to great effect in our solo modes as well.
To play host to these epic battles, our spider scientists have selected a variety of interesting locales. I wouldn't expect any sanity in the choices however; our scientists are all out of their minds. I hear the majority of them suffer from arachnophobia. We have noticed an alarming amount of traps and hazards in some of these locations...
- Multiple game modes: Deathmatch is currently available, with more coming soon.
- Variable camera modes: You can choose to play in either first- or third person.
- Spider types: Choose from a selection of unique classes for your spider. Each class not only looks distinct, but plays different as well with class specific loadouts and abilities.
- Webs: All spiders can construct webs on any solid surface. The webs can be used for traversal or defense. You could even construct an artistic web to prove you are a capable home-builder to that spider-crush of yours. Webs do not have to be static however; you can use them to swing around objects - getting the drop on your foes!
Oh, did I mention this game has spiders?
* Our human-spider relations officer tried their best to not use buzzwords after their predecessor was ejected into space for doing so.

User Reviews
I like the game to keep it short. Interesting idea and its fun to make webs. Low or unsynced player base though. Leaving one to look toward friends to play with since little to no servers are being run, but I have high hopes/plans for it. Including a group to help people coordinate some games. It's very shallow and shakey feeling right now. Hopefully things change, but in the state it's in, I wouldn't waste the money, especially considering the price was just raised for seemingly no reason, they just didn't like a $10 pricepoint. I got it on sale for $7.50 and I don't feel it was worth the price in its current state. I'll hang on to it in hopes that this changes and update this review if that ever happens, but as of now, I wouldn't buy this title, it just doesn't feel like it'll ever turn into anything more than it currently is, which is very little. The 4 legs in the middle of the spider don't even move, they just bounce a little, so walking around doesn't feel as good as one would hope. Devs need to rig the spider skeleton to a proper model of how a spider walks. Making webs is fun, but you don't coccoon your prey, so it's all very arcade feeling. It's just a really expensive "Meh" atm, and it's supposed to be releasing in just over a year, and has already had...
Awesome spider gameplay and mechanics, great potential to go further with a larger player base
I Love Spider, but game sucks.
Epic game my dudes 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to see what the future holds!
I have to recommend this game. Even though it is in it's early stages there is very good potential for it. I , over the years, developed full animated spider models of my own on other using Blender (haven't even started to think of rigging and animation routines), imported maps to other platforms for testing on other physics engines and have dreamed of a game centered around arachnids. There has been a demand from other games featuring spiders, but nothing like this that I have seen. Reminds me of early Mech Warrior games in some ways. Spider model aesthetics from my experience has been very lacking (see rigging and animation). This lighting and graphics (I'm running this on an Alienware Area 51 with Nvidia) and the game handles fine imo. No remarkable errors, even when the game froze briefly forcing me to close it (that could be an issue on my end). I will enjoy trying out and helping test the physics and mechanics this developer has implimented along with the strategy approac...
Interesting, hoping to see more, loving the great music and dynamic map (at least the singleplayer anyhow).
The best game i have ever played +10
REALLY GOOD but just a bit boring right now in this stage of development but so far its good
