This game is ancient but nobody ever recommended it to me in the 10 years it's been out, I feel betrayed. I love it so far, although I haven't finished it. The design and graphical themes are really fun, the puzzles are great, the nonlinear exploration is great. It's basically a puzzle game with metroidvania-platformer elements, which I'm a fan of, puzzles have always been my jam. I like that the game doesn't waste your time to the point of frustration by making you redo puzzles when you revisit rooms. I like these Game Freak first party titles because the development team is full of long tenured industry giants and they're basically just having fun and making something they want to make instead of Pokemon that they've been doing for 25+ years

It's good! Not mind blowing but I had fun all the way through. Liked the puzzles, liked the bosses, liked the aesthetics, liked the Shinji Hosoe music, and liked a good chunk of the story. That's probably the weakest aspect because it starts pretty strong but at the second half it just sorta rushes to a conclusion, I'd prefered they fleshed it out a little more. But yea, I liked it a whole lot.
