In my short time using this product, it's really quite fantastic. I love it. I dived right in and could understand the interface with the mildest of learning curves. I think the only thing that could possibly make it better is to have a BVH import/export; since a lot of motion capture packs use this format, and it would be nice to be able to import/export BVH animation data. That said, I can't wait to see how this develops, because as it stands now-- it's pretty solid! :)

About This Game
To be delisted from store by end 2019. There will be no more update for this product.
3D animation software did not evolve that much during the last 20 years... until Akeytsu, a brand new 3D software dedicated solely to animation and rigging developed by nukeygara came out on the market. Disruptive, fast and easy Akeytsu is an intuitive software for Indie game creators.
akeytsu’s motto: designed by/for animators… designed to be easy and fun
Even if 3D animation is intrinsically an artistic endeavour, it unfortunately has been transformed into a high-level technical activity by most of the software in the market. These programs are overly complicated with an endless learning curve. With its artistic-oriented approach and its unique interface, akeytsu breaks up classic standards of current broad-based solutions by providing a new "animation & rigging only" workflow built on simplicity, rapidity, velocity and ergonomics.
The result is an uncompromising design where each and every feature was thought for animators. And not only for professional animators, akeytsu is so easy that now anyone can create quick posings and have fun by discovering 3D animation.
game industry as target
At nukeygara we made a choice : providing 3D animation access to the huge community of game/indie game developers. Most of them stick with 2D due to 3D issues: overly technical, skills lacking in teams, long learning curves, etc. This situation has to change ! The first akeytsu version and its solid FBX format support in/out fits perfectly with game studios needs and especially Unity 3D or Unreal Engine workflows.key features
- skeletal animation (akeytsu stacker keyframing system)
- akeytsu spinner manipulator handling
- animation layers (akeytsu mixer)
- F-Curve editor integrated into the 3D viewport (akeytsu curveboard)
- cycle special features (akeytsu cyclemaker)
- keyframe onion ghosts
- mesh controls (akeytsu light rig)
- IK/FK solver (akeytsu light rig)
- IK/FK auto Reverse Foot
- skeleton creation and editing (akeytsu light rig)
- skinning creation with Skin Painter and vertices editing
- animation bank
- multi-views layouts
- multi-files handling
- FBX import/export (multi-animations export)
- 4K monitor support
upcoming features and improvements
- cameras (import, export, creation & editing)
- blendshapes
- and many more…

Fantastic, used the trial for a day, then straight onto purchasing, no regrets, had to support this superb software. Been in the games industry for a little while now and always felt animation tools/workflows for games were getting dated, This software addresses that perfectly, artist friendly and incorporates into my projects with ease thanks to some serious FBX support. Thanks Devs, this is purely magical.
Animating is fun again :) Very simple, fast and intuitive skining, rigging and animation software. I hope Nukeygara add some features for even better workflow like bvh handling and dynamic parenting. Anyway, Akeytsu is fresh breeze in 3D character animation software and it works great for most tasks.
If you want to focus on animation and not want to bother with complex rig setups, just buy this amazing app and don't think twice!
I tried one character made in 3ds max, Imported fbx, animation works. I'm new here, but so far everything works fine, and I'm focused on the tutorials right now, hopefully I'll get used to the interface fast. I like what I've seen so far.
This software is amazing. It has an enormous potential and it's already really good at what it does. It is easy to learn, fast to work with and integrates beautifully with unreal engine 4. I'm glad I found this masterpiece
Wow - I am simply blown away by Akeytsu. This is the software I kept wishing for - something that focuses solely on rigging & animating 3D models and does it REALLY well. As an indie game dev I have meandered around the world of 3D asset creation - often avoiding the expensive industry standards or finding them far too cumbersome when I take a look. As such I have created a pipeline using simple, focused 'indie friendly' 3D creation software available here on Steam - but it was sorely lacking one key piece and Akeytsu was it. No more need to load up heavy & clunky full 3D suites to rig & animate my simple models made in simple & fun modellers. Now I get to use Akeytsu and keep the process artsy & fun. Drawing bones on your mesh to create a skeleton is easy, modifying the bones position or hiearchy is easy, binding the skeleton to your mesh is easy, even adjusting the weight map painting to fix a bone tuggin on part of the mesh it shouldn't is easy. Creating the animations is a j...
The software lacks many features and the developers are not trying to release update and instead they release it as a new software. I do not recommend buying either this version or next versions since any software from this developer has high possibility to become abandoneware in a short time.
I like analogies, so here's one about moving from Maya, Blender, etc (for rigging, vertex weighting, and animation) -- over to Akeytsu. Imagine you're a carpenter. You are building a house from scratch. Your foreman hands you a massive tool that claims to serve every conceivable purpose. It can saw plywood, dig a foundation, pour cement, lay carpet, hammer nails into roof shingles, be a tape measure, and install a bird feeder. Can such a massive uber-tool possibly be the MOST EFFICIENT TOOL for all those different jobs? That's insane. A tool so bloated and over-engineered would be laughed off the construction site. And yet, we 3D artists fork over the (massive) dough for such tools without questioning. Akeytsu is straightforward. It politely gets the ever-loving @#$% out of your way. It lets you just move your character around, with an elegant interface, and set keyframes. It assumes you might want to sometimes have child bones rotate with the parent and sometimes not. Or you mig...
I love it. ♥
