Might & Magic Heroes VII – Trial by Fire is an ambitious expansion that attempts to build on the strengths of the base game while addressing some of its most persistent weaknesses. As both a standalone title and an add-on to Heroes VII, it introduces a full new faction—the Dwarven Fortress—and brings with it two large campaign arcs, new maps, additional skirmish content, and a suite of technical and quality-of-life updates. Taking place five years after the events of the original game, the narrative centers on rising tensions between the Holy Empire and the dwarves of Grimheim, with Emperor Ivan once again caught in the middle of a looming war. In the meantime of waiting for Olden Era i need to say its not that bad of HoMM title. I remembered it in worst and bugged state then it is. And i like the game loop because of the units polishment state in 7. Playable HoMM and true of words "Not great, not terrible". [strike]
Before you buy opinion:
I dont understand why 2 separate standalone game launchers of the exactly same game - And trial by fire version is without achievements! I dont see point of this separation. Play this version if you mod it to 7.5 or for custom sandbox or you like dwarf race. For campaign and accomplishment play the base game![/strike] APPARENTLY IF YOU OWN THEM BOTH YOU HAVE FULL GAME EXPERIENCE IN BASE GAME. SO NO DOUBLE LAUNCHERS. JUST INSTALL HEROES 7 MAIN GAME The text is based on whole HoMM 7 not just trial by fire product and i played it because is the newest official HoMM version. For quicky HoMM gaming mood fulfillment until Olden Era comes. Anyway buy only in sale...

If the game don't launch, open the Ubisoft Connect launcher and log in. This will let you start the game normally through steam. And yes, I love this game and play it a lot. Although, I must confess, I have never played this game unmodded. I have Heroes 7.5 installed and it is great!
