A pretty solid HOG adventure. The atmosphere in general is creepy and the soundtrack is genuinely very good. It overall does a good job of being a more horror-tinged HOG, though a bit marred by the fact that every single horror cliche in existence has been crammed into the 5 or so hours this game takes to finish, which makes it more funny than scary at times. Even so, it's a good time waster for a couple of hours with an interesting narrative and I look forward to playing Part 2 and 3 as well.
Pretty solid puzzle/hidden object game. This is part 1 out of 3. For the full story you need to get them all. Like with most of these games, some things are quit logical while others are far fetched. Played on Expert, meaning no object highlighting or hints and did get me stumped occasionally. Still think it's the best way to play these games, but that's of course up to you. Decent visuals and an interesing setting. Not scary though, but sill enjoyed it a lot.
I played the whole game, plus the bonus chapter...and now I'm hooked because of the story so I will buy the next games! The best part of this suspenseful game with its gloomy art is the ease of movement between the scenes (there are so many) and the ability to skip the puzzles if you want. It's not so much of a HOG as it is a journey... worth your time for sure.
i have played this game on my iPad on the day it was released, and it’s been years already. Really nostalgic...
A very spooky and quite a scary game! Players will need to search very carefully for objects / clues to make to the end of the game. The puzzles can be very challenging to solve and will often test the limits of your creative thinking. The story progresses through a series of documents/notes left by characters and players will need to read them carefully to understand what is going on. The game is not gory but yet players will experience unexpected horror after entering certain locations or opening certain objects. The graphics are quite good, although nowhere near setting the industry standard. In particular, the artwork and detail in the settings is very impressive and immersive. For the price that one would pay to purchase this game, its length is still a satisfying 17 hours. Yet, one complaint I have is that players will need to click on too many objects to gather the required clues. The game can often be too dark so players will experience eye strain. And finally, players will ...
simple enjoyed this game. it had me thinking on alot of the puzzles and the intro to the game was eye catching and i cant wait to play the next one
Great game. More mystery than horror, but fun nonetheless
