Too twitchy. Starts of as an intriguing puzzle game that quickly devolves into some bastardized rhythm game which requires superhuman reaction times.

This is really fun! It's an interesting concept, and very enjoyable. A good timekiller, and decently difficult.

Nice puzzle-reflex game. I really like the techno-future theme, with handdrawn elements, graphical glows, and soothing ambient music. I really like the psychedelic game experiences, which these developers create. There are some issues with the user interfaces, such as the power-up icons. I think other reviewers got frustrated with the timed parts, because they did not realize they could use the slow-down power-up. Played on ubuntu linux 16.04 with radeon mesa drivers. Update 07/21: A recent update prevents the linux build from starting correctly on some systems. The game continues to run correctly though Steam Proton, on my system at least.

It would have been a OK game for its price point. But the fact that a few of the levels seems to be buggy and is impossible to obtain a perfect clear, is pushing me towards not recommending. It's not the fact there's a few 'minor' bug that disappoint me, it's that the bugs are being reported and the dev does not respond to it irretates me.

If pushing buttons in sequences to make things happen is exciting to you, this game is for you. I like the time they spent giving context and a back-story to the puzzles, but I'll admit that I'd want to play them all regardless of the wrapper. Not sure I like the timing clicks on "boss fights" quite as much, but after the first few they start to get presented in more interesting and engaging ways. Best of all, language is not used much at all, so it is easy to play regardless of language proficiency. :)
Imprint-X is relaxingly punchy
This puzzle game feels great to play. I mean that beyond the general satisfaction you get when you complete a puzzle. When you press a button in this game it just feels right. I mean it when I say the puzzles are clever and the music crafted by Tom Croke sounds phenomenal. I highly recommend this game for the general aesthetic which is very well done, Morgondag's games always have a well-developed and consistent theme that flows cleanly from scene to scene. I can sing the praises of the atmosphere of the game and how you will naturally be relaxed when you play it all day and night... But all that pales in comparison to the buttons. I swear I have never played or described a game like this, and certainly not a puzzle based game, but any time you press one button in the puzzle it feels different than any other game. If you read the other reviews here, nearly every one of them say the game just FEELS fantastic. There is a reason for thi...

Imprint-X is one of those tiny indie game focus around a simple mechanic. Here it s all about pressing button. As the game progress, new kind of button are implement and the solution becomme more and more complexe while not lasting more than 1 minute when you know the answer. While some answer may not be obvious at first, they all are allways obvious once you've understand the trick. the game is divided between two part: - The regular level, where you try to figure which button you're supposed to press. - The boss fight where square move around on the screen and you have to figure the moment where their pattern cross and click at that moment. I've seen some people complaining that the game ask us to have some insane reaction time which is false. I have finished the whole game easily without having to pressure myself about this. But some people may say that I have good reaction time, which may be true, but even so, the dev have think of a possibility for the people with lower reac...

I've only played a little so far but I just know I'm going to like this game. The intro set the perfect tone for a great experience of puzzles, button pressing and an interesting story. I'm normally not a huge fan of these kind of games, but I think the entirety of it makes it a truly solid experience. The music is fantastic!

so this bizarrely was one of the first Unity games my dinosaur PC just chugged with, at the time something about this game really spoke to me so i vowed i would play it again A new computer and taste changes 3 years later...nah 4 admittedly solid game mechanics forced to poorly work together in a twitchy mess that beats you over the head with the lead pipe of it's cyberpunk retrowave Eurojank aesthetic. I want to think I might have liked this better back then, but I'm really not so sure. I do think maybe there will be some with the patience and drive for this, but that is not me, sorry.
