Well, if you're looking for a genuine NES revival, the good news is that Abo Mando is nearly indistinguishable from a number of titles in the 8-Bit behemoth's library. The bad news is that those titles are far closer to the barely functioning Cheetahmen than they are any 'instant classics' as this game bewilderingly touts itself. I was hooked in by the Mexican horror theme as there is precious little of it to be found in gaming but nothing feels particularly culture-specific about shooting down a tedious Halloween gallery of ghosts, bats, cats and, uh, monkeys for some godforsaken reason. The boss fights, although clumsily handled, are a little bit livelier, recalling the milder confrontations of the original Castlevania trilogy but out of a total of five of them, two are against the Grim Reaper and one is against an alien overlord so that really leaves you with precious little of what Abo Mando promises you. The two biggest problems here are that every stage looks like crap o...

One of the worst games I have ever played I only got it for the achievements. I got all the way to the final grim reaper phase just for it to not save my progress. The controls are god awful mnk is unplayable because u cant even use WASD to move. A is jump S is shoot and you're forced to use arrow keys. Everything is badly designed and checkpoints dont work properly nor does saving progress. Hit reg is atrocious and so is everything. I knew it would be bad but I didnt think it would be that bad
