About This Game

Factorio is a game in which you build and maintain factories. You will be mining resources, researching technologies, building infrastructure, automating production and fighting enemies. In the beginning you will find yourself chopping trees, mining ores and crafting mechanical arms and transport belts by hand, but in short time you can become an industrial powerhouse, with huge solar fields, oil refining and cracking, manufacture and deployment of construction and logistic robots, all for your resource needs. However this heavy exploitation of the planet's resources does not sit nicely with the locals, so you will have to be prepared to defend yourself and your machine empire.

Join forces with other players in cooperative Multiplayer, create huge factories, collaborate and delegate tasks between you and your friends. Add mods to increase your enjoyment, from small tweak and helper mods to complete game overhauls, Factorio's ground-up Modding support has allowed content creators from around the world to design interesting and innovative features. While the core gameplay is in the form of the freeplay scenario, there are a range of interesting challenges in the form of Scenarios. If you don't find any maps or scenarios you enjoy, you can create your own with the in-game Map Editor, place down entities, enemies, and terrain in any way you like, and even add your own custom script to make for interesting gameplay.

Discount Disclaimer: We don't have any plans to take part in a sale or to reduce the price for the foreseeable future.

I have played this game since 2019 when i was just 8, and i liked it even then. Sometimes this game is called cracktorio, and its completely true. This game will eat a TON of time. Even though I have played for 450 hours it still feels like I spent something like 100 hours in it. Factorio has an insane amount of stuff that you can craft and do in it. For perfect performance you need to calculate stuff, and also it has a nuke. The space age DLC that was released in 2024 triples the stuff that you have, it adds 4 new planets and sapce platforms that you have to build to travel between those planets as well as there is a ton of new stuff to explore. I very recommend this game and if you finished it and you fell that you are ready for even more complex and challenging mode or something like that, buy the space age DLC

A genre defining game that has continued to challenge me after over 1000 hours. In particular, I've been delighted by how there is room for continued skill growth in playing the game well after finishing the base game (launching a rocket) and escaping the solar system (DLC space age). Many of the advanced aspects of the game, such as circuits, are optional and I didnt really use them till well after the base game, but when I did discover them, they added significantly to how to play the base game. This game then led to several other games that extend on the concept new new ways: Satisfactory, Dyson Sphere. They offer a less mature automation experience but take the automation to more advanced places. Factorio is the place to start.

This game will take over your life. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone with no job, family, or social life and no interest in ever attaining those things. Because your life will be about this game from now on.

I was back and forth about this game for a while. It has never gone on sale that I have seen so the devs obviously know they have a gem and people will pay for it. It is a unique and fun take on the factory builder style games. The bugs are a little annoying and get overwhelming so I suggest disabling them on your first play through. Other than that, it is a fun all around game.
