Don't get me wrong this game has the perfect atmosphare and story for a vampire game. Everything in these 2 domains is almost perfect. However there is nothing more infuriating and frustrating than a bad game experience because of the extremely poor gameplay design and mechanics systems. Attacks not landing, enemies being overpowered for no reason (and yes I have played both many hack and slash and souls like games so I can tell when an enemy is overpowered for no reason). Ηard mode means being a handicapped vampire which is ALWAYS underleveled no matter what and the XP I gain is in a constant race with the damage I deal, competing over which one ends up being lower. Also whenever you die not only you spawn way behind your progress in terms of npcs killed and your previous location but you also don't get any consumable regenarated or at least they are not in the previous status before you died. I will not talk about not having a fast travel system because this wouldn't be necessary if...

Twelve dreams for the Red Queen under crown of stone. Eight voracious beasts born from eight restless nights. Four nails piercing the flesh of the sinner. One prayer for the summoned called by this song. ‘Tis perchance the countdown to oblivion, For the once proud city of London. For what is darkness but lurking sun? What is life but death pending? I have been rejoicing as of late in my exploration of Vampyr, a game of mediocre combat, but such splendid atmosphere, vibe, and narrative. London, 1916, somewhere around the East End Docks – a fine, evocative setting. It’s bleak, dark, and rainy, and the Thames is still untamed and canal-like, and completely undammed against the horrors of the black warp. Those were the times right before technology dispelled the wonders of yore from our ever-boring existences. There’s something haunting the streets of London at night, together with the ongoing war and epidemic; terror has gripped the city. One bar near the docks has decid...
A textbook exemple of the story clashing with the gameplay. To get the good ending, you have to throw away more than half of the game content, especially on harder difficulty.
Such potential wasted with bad mechanics. No fast travel, constantly running into locked doors even after progressing in main quest, every corner filled annoying mobs with worthless loot for no reason, cant put a mark on citizens so you end up searching for them whole 20 minutes JUST to give them a cold cure? And if u dont give a cure their sickness developes and they die. I wanna talk about locked doors again; you try to go some place and cant because there are like 5 locked doors even if you already unlocked it. Plus some of them cant be unlocked from the side you stand on? You try finding another way and cant because FOR SOME REASON you only have like 1 or 2 accesses between areas and every street are absolute alike so you trust on the mark u placed on map and it keeps leading you another locked door. Its just so frustrating. I like the plot tho. Seeing jonathan more emotional would be good, his loved ones dies and yet he yaps about getting answers? like thats it? no crying, scream...
Great Start, Bloody Mess
Vampyr begins strong — dark, atmospheric, and full of moral tension. But halfway through, it turns into a slog. Endless backtracking, no fast travel, and no respecs before brutal boss fights? Come on. Used syringes don’t refill after boss-death either. Fun! The story starts intriguing but ends in melodrama. > "i AM dEAth JoNAThAN, i CAN't StanD It." Okay, theatre kid. Calling the final boss a difficulty spike is an understatement. I get it — git gud — but having to backtrack 15 minutes just to change your skills is absurd. I’m not asking for easy, just not full-on disrespectful. Give me something — fast travel, shortcut, anything. And why does eating a sick grandma give more XP than killing a vampire hunter in his prime? Worse, you need to learn Grandma’s tragic backstory first for bonus XP. I get it — lore vs. mechanics — but this ain’t it. Play the first half. Quit while it’s still good.
You need to fight repetitive fights each time you pass through the same place, makes it boring as hell. I just abandoned it, feels like a burden to push the story forward.
sistem istiyo ama kötü türkçe de yok hem pahalı hem ortalama bi oyun fiyatını haketmiyor
I love the concept of a doctor who is a vampire.
Good Vibe and engaging story!
