⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Players in the game will be able to play on multiple battlefields of the campaign, from the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers where the Siege of Harper's Ferry took place, to the ridgelines of South Mountain, and to the meandering waters of Antietam Creek at the Battle of Antietam. Additionally, players will also be able to choose from a list of regiments that fought in each battle as well as what rank to fight as, whether they want to slog it out as a lowly private, or if you want to orchestrate the carnage and mayhem as a major general.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Uniforms and bodily features will all be customizable for other players to see as you march and fight in the lines of battle according to the tactics of the period. As a General, you will operate in your headquarters equipped with a map of the battlefield and constantly receiving reports of friendly and enemy positions. Send out new orders to the regiments to move forward, or fall back - all in real time. The orders will move down the chain of command, to the Colonels, Majors, down to the Captains in charge of the individual regiments, all of whom have the option to follow the orders of their trusted commander, or rebel against his wishes and fight as you see fit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Each map contains a period reconstruction of the buildings, farms, forests, roads, and rocks as they were in 1862 so players can fight through the streets of Harper's Ferry, in the wooded heights of Fox's Gap at South Mountain, or in the cornfields and Bloody Lanes of Antietam. Players can feel the whiz of deadly shot and shell fly by their bodies, or hit their comrades or themselves as they scream in a bloody hail from their wounds. Limbs will fly and blood will be spilt once again as Campfire Games brings the fighting of the Civil War right to the player's computer screen!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Will you heed the Union call against the traitors? Or will you fight to defend your family and livelihood with the Confederacy? You decide!

If you are contemplating getting this game. Stop now. The game is on its dying breath with only 1 active server open to the public. The games only server has an alarming amount of preferential Admin Abuse. You will likely get banned for accidental team kills on the regular for large periods of time. In a NORMAL game that is not a big deal. However because on WAR OF RIGHTS there are no other public servers to play on. You will be locked out of playing the game YOU PAYED FOR. The lack of choice with public servers is the death for this game.

I love this game so much, the battle are cool. The community is a little racist of course, but it's fun

Fun game, but I hate the name. "War of Rights". Seriously? That's the sort of Nazi loving neck beard wannabe Confederate B.S. you hear from the "Proud Boys". If I may ask, which rights are they referring to? Is it the freedom to own other people? Or the right to lynch people without consequence? Seems to me many players just want to say the N-word as frequently as they are able. What a wonderful heritage to defend. You people need to get your priorities straight. That being said, this game is a good opportunity to shoot slave owners in the face. Union Forever.

Game is shit and unfun. Gameflow is: Spend 112 seconds loading and fixing bayonet, stumble that way for 8 real minutes, get shot, stare at deployment screen for 20 minutes. Also how is this still "EARLY ACCESS" after 7 years?

I could say a lot but other reviewers already did. I just want to point out that many games tried to get players to fight in lines, follow commands and make it look like a mid to late 1800s battle. Most fail, but the devs implemented very good systems to incentivize players to obey commands and fight in lines, which greatly adds to the fun and historical accuracy. My tip to new players would be to join a regiment asap. They train you, organize several weekly events with multiple other regiments where you can truly experience the game and there are zero downsides to it! 10/10 would recommend again if I could

From a gameplay standpoint it truly delievers it's promise on a very immersive civil war game, the massive battles are very fun however this game needs a much more team based mindset than any other game I know it will take some time to learn the basics and you need to be pretty good at listening to others when starting out. The community is the community if you ever played Hell Let Loose or Squad it's that with a touch of Call of Duty lobby screaming and sayings public matches can be pretty fun but are still plagued with disorganization and some jerks. If you want a more organized gaming experience considering joining one of the many gaming clans believe me this is the first time I joined a clan and my enjoyment has significantly increased due to that. The biggest downside to the game are the lack of updates and inconsistent progress horses for example were teased years ago but haven't been added into the game. Don't get me wrong the 1776 update is pretty good but if I would have to...
