A fun throwback to the classic NES River City Ransom beat ‘em up. The characters are fun to play as and the fighting moves are satisfying to pull off. It’s pretty close to the original with some added gameplay mechanics and twists. The story isn’t great, not bad, but okay. If you’re a fan of the original I think you’ll get some good gameplay out of it. I found it to be a little repetitive at times and grindy, but still fun. If you can get it for less $20 or less than I think it’s worth a pickup and a play through. It runs pretty well on Steam Deck and even better on PC.
