Candle is one of those indie titles that immediately catches your eye with its unique art style and that’s no accident. Every scene looks like it was painted by hand, because it was. The watercolor backdrops and animated details give the game a living, storybook quality that sets it apart from almost anything else in the genre. At its core, Candle is a mix of platforming, puzzle-solving and classic adventure mechanics. You play as Teku, a young hero armed with a literal candle for a hand, using its flame to solve environmental challenges and outwit enemies. The concept is charming and the flame mechanic adds personality and tension to what could otherwise be standard platform-adventure fare. The puzzles are clever and varied, often requiring observation and experimentation rather than brute force. That said, the game is not always friendly to players: the controls can feel stiff, with jumps and interactions lacking the precision you’d want, especially in tense moments. Combin...

About the Game
Candle is an adventure with challenging puzzles. Play as Teku, a young novice on a dangerous journey to rescue his tribe's shaman from the evil tribe of the Wakcha. But the way is littered with sinister traps and difficult obstacles. To master these challenges, you need to have keen eyes and a good sense for your environment, or your next step may be your last.
But Teku has a special gift: his left hand is a candle. Let it be a bright beacon to drive off your enemies or to shed light on dark places.
Gorgeous hand-painted watercolor visuals give Candle that special flair, as all backgrounds and characters have been carefully drawn and then scanned, picture after picture. The game consistently feels like a living painting.
- Pay attention to all details to solve challenging puzzles

User Reviews
Great game with astonishing and beautiful art, interesting to solve and challenging puzzles. Controls may feel a bit odd at first, but get used to after couple of hours of play. The only downside for me was a bug with screen freezing in couple of locations (extra challenge to find a workaround). Anyway you can see that devs had put a lot of love and effort into the game. I definitely recommend to play it.
It's an adventure with platforming elements. Controls are janky, so it got annoying real quick.
