About This Game

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is the next major entry in the renowned Resident Evil series and sets a new course for the franchise as it leverages its roots and opens the door to a truly terrifying horror experience. A dramatic new shift for the series to first person view in a photorealistic style powered by Capcom’s new RE Engine, Resident Evil 7 delivers an unprecedented level of immersion that brings the thrilling horror up close and personal.

Set in modern day rural America and taking place after the dramatic events of Resident Evil® 6, players experience the terror directly from the first person perspective. Resident Evil 7 embodies the series’ signature gameplay elements of exploration and tense atmosphere that first coined “survival horror” some twenty years ago; meanwhile, a complete refresh of gameplay systems simultaneously propels the survival horror experience to the next level.

Wife cut my arm off with a chainsaw in the first 10 mins of the game then some random bimbo put it back on with a classroom stapler. 10/10 game.

This is the LEGIT horror game. I've played some RE series, including RE2 and RE4, which are especially highly acclaimed ones, but for me, this Re7 is the best in the series. After playing through this title, I've realized I loved horror, not action. I had thought I hated the Sherry part in Re2, the Ashley part in Re4, but it was not true. With no weapon, no power to struggle with it. Unilaterally imposed fear is what we feel the scariest. Yes, there are tons of jump scares, creepy, disgusting moments in Re7. Additionally, the quantity and quality of the extra content are just amazing. Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Resident Evil 7 went back to its roots with it being a survival-horror adventure - full of exploration and item hunting - compared to its early predecessors. The atmosphere was extremely frightening, eerie and hair-raising and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire game. It takes place on the mysterious Dulvey plantation, in which Ethan desperately searches for his missing wife, Mia, after being summoned by a cryptic email by her. Compared to the cold, medieval interior of the Spencer mansion, which felt like a huge maze, the household of the Baker family feels like home, in which a normal middle class family could live in, which is a great change of scenery of something this series has never fully explored before. Something this game has really failed are the far-to-simple and rare puzzles the players have to solve in order to progress further. Instead of resorting to have to find codes and passwords hidden in certain notes spread across the map or written on the side o...

Resident Evil 7 was my first in the series, and it works perfectly as a standalone. This is my 3rd playthrough. You play as Ethan, a generic dude with no combat experience. He vows to fight Baker family to rescue his wife. I believe Capcom did an excellent job reinventing the series, though the story slows in places. The Bakers carry the game with some of the most memorable horror moments I’ve played. I was satisfied with the ending and will always remember this game. Things I loved: - First, the story (it doesn’t tell u the story right away. Takes a bit time to understand the mystery.) -Horror elements, they reinvented their franchise with this game -You’re experiencing an environment which is scary, if u play with ur headphones u can hear random noises. -Weapon variations -Brilliant puzzles (they’re not that tough) -You have a stalker enemy in the game -Different Boss battles -Making it first-person was a big risk, but it paid off. without it, the game wouldn’t ...

It's a fun game and the controls are a lot better on pc than console, but the last 1 and a half hours are boring asf and bring the game down a lot. Ethan Winter is also very wholesome c:

When this entry in the RE series dropped back in 2017, it was something quite revolutionary for the franchise. I've probably completed it around three times at this point, as well as all of the DLCs that have released with it. To do this day, it's still one of the scariest imo (if not *the* scariest of the franchise), and it really brings the "resident" part into factor of Resident Evil, by having it all occur in a place no one would really expect; an isolated family property within the swamplands of Louisiana. Great game, and if you're a fan of the RE series and have never played it I definitely recommend giving it a go because it's still just as awesome as it was when I replayed it back a 4-5 years ago.

A horror experience that keeps your nerves on edge from start to finish — constant tension inside a twisted family that never lets you feel safe.

Resident Evil 7 is horror perfection. The sheer creep factor of dodging that damn patriarch in his house is almost overwhelming...“Ethan…Eethan…EEE-THIIIINN” still echoes in my head. $h|t’s f00king unCOMfortable in the best way possible. I’ll never forget my first hour with this game. I was so on edge, heart pounding, as I tried to outflank Jack. I thought I had the upper hand...until I froze at the sight of him slowly creeping around the corner, taunting me with that arrogant drawl as he realized I was there; "You thought you could just slip on out before supper was done?" When he picked up pace, I RAN, nearly pissing myself. Just brilliant. And just when you think you’re safe? He smashes straight through the wall in front of you. Absolute terror, perfectly executed. Incredible game. That first-time experience is one I’ll never forget.
