About This Game

Jabberwock Island – once a popular tourist destination, this now uninhabited island remains oddly pristine. You and your classmates at the elite Hope's Peak Academy have been brought to this island by your super-cute teacher for a “lovey-dovey, heart-throbbing school trip.” Everyone seems to be having fun in the sun...until Monokuma returns to restart his murderous game! Trapped on this island of mutual killing, your only hope of escape rests in solving the island’s mysteries. But be warned—sometimes the truth can be its own despair...

Key Features
  • Deadly Island Vibes: Murder is the only means of escape when you’re trapped on this island paradise. As your fellow classmates start dropping like coconuts, you’ll need to delve into each murderous incident, forage for clues, and interview your classmates to reveal the opportunity, motive, and means behind each killer case!

Tribal Council: You’ll go head-to-head in all new minigames with the other students during the Class Trial, shooting down their false truths and using your evidence to uncover what really happened. But watch out! If a student is unconvinced, they'll challenge you to a one-on-one Rebuttal Showdown and force you to defend your argument!

Survival of the Keenest: Match up your evidence with your fellow classmates’ arguments and determine who’s really telling the truth. Once you’ve got a suspect in your sights, turn up that tropical heat in a variety of timing and reflex-based game systems to reveal the ultimate truth and escape with your life!

Steam Features: Supports Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud with plans to add Steam Trading Cards
A fantastic sequel.
Following up a success is hard. Most '2' games are just the first ++. Danganronpa 2 is far above ++. In a bubble it is better in almost every way. However, this game uses the old game to springboard itself to the stratosphere. It plays with your knowledge, expectations. It will in one breath make a curious reference to the last game and in another disrespects it. While I can tell this is still a great game if you start here, it is so elevated by playing the first that I heartily recommend you start there. The first game is still enjoyable itself. Wow.

If you enjoy some nice detective work with some interesting characters and lore, this game is for you! Disclaimer, please do NOT pay attention to the fandom, especially. ESPECIALLY. those from 2020-2022, crazy stuff. ANYWAY! Very nice and good game if you're into Murder Mystery, whodunnit and detective work. IF, however, you like Phantom Thief more, play Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

I have played every Danganronpa game so far, but danganronpa 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the first one I ever played back in 2020 and now, years later, i have come back to it. The characters are unforgettable, the free time events are genuinely fun, even the silly little mini games have their charm hehe Its all stitched together in a way that feels so alive and so full of heart. The class trials, the mysteries, the murders… everything is crafted so well. Id recommend it 100%, no hesitation. & of course, nagito is the best character in the entire franchise :33 no question. To me he’s the heart of this game<3

I think my play time speaks for itself. A perfect sequel in every way. It expands upon the universe and the story while still feeling completely fresh and unique. The new mechanics are fantastic and the plot moved me to tears countless times. Absolutely the best installment in the franchise.

The best one in the trilogy. Can't get anymore peak, we got a schitzo edgelord who is insane, buff coach who constantly has to shit, gamer gorl and super sayan protagonist. Shut up and take my money.

I love this game. Before my playthrough I only knew the first game’s story, and basically only experienced that for a while, and it became kind of nostalgic to me, the characters the environment… but I feel like Goodbye Despair has made this nostalgia stronger. This game is incredible, and I cannot stop praising it! I already feel like after a few years, I’ll look back on this game and still be amazed. The soundtrack, the visuals, the characters, it’s something that I think we will never really experience in the coming years from video games. Everyone has their own ideals and are much more relatable than the first game’s cast. Hajime was super relatable, I would've acted the same as him a lot of the times if I were in his shoes, which made me really invested in the story. Nagito was great as well—I found him really interesting, but cannot elaborate on him that much without spoiling. But, for me, Fuyuhiko was the one who sealed this game as the best one in the series. I fou...

New steam account, i HAD to replay this. This is by far my absolute favorite of the 4 CANON games, I absolutely love how the story develops and the characters backstory?? 10/10, i may be biased from being an old fan of the game but this was soo my moneys worth. ESPECIALLY replaying it after watching the anime.

I love the game but the sexualization of some characters is really off-putting. How hard is it to not add weird fan service? edit; thanks for the clown kind stranger
