Harder than Dark souls Really though, this is a nice little game and if you have kids I'm sure they'd love the play it. The music is really catchy. I've ran into a couple bugs, but nothing major and I've let the devs know about them so they should be fixed soon. The drawings are really nice and they have cheeky little animations once you fill them in. 9.9/10

Since then, the developer managed to correct that - he was very understanding of that and here's the result: the update I was waiting for. However, there is still a warning: I've played [b]ABC Coloring Town[/b]. Avoid this one. If you really want a digital color book, spend on your money on Discovering Colors - Animals. So let's go change a few points. Steam is opening itself to other customers and I can see that many educational games are also sold on it. While it's true that the platform isn't for all ages, parents are using their account to buy them and generally, they're keeping an eye on what the kid is doing. I got this game for my 2 year old son. Though he can't use a mouse properly, he loves the colors and the animations when completeing a picture. I actually found myself playing it for a bit after he went off to do something else. If you have kids, this is a great game and at $2 it's actually cheaper than a coloring book. You also unlock more pictures as you play, though I'm not sure how many there are total, but I'm expecting to get a lot of time out of this.

Discovering Colors - Animals is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial asset pack for a kids coloring mobile app, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own software. Looking at the developers other trash on Steam, there's a few pretty obvious asset flips there, so we know what we're dealing with. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. My kids enjoy this game. It's helping them learn to use the mouse.

This is great. Wish there were more categories and pages though. Since buying it for my daughter to play, I have been asked for it nearly everyday. There really needs to be more of these kinda games on steam. Guess it really is time to just jump into game dev myself.

Best game for toddlers I have ever seen. Simple and beautiful.
