Cool little puzzle game! Portal is a small game , with a nice story and gameplay , it's pretty much known by everybody so why not give it a try! Music at the end is rlly pretty and cute. Puzzles are very creative but I'd say the 2nd half of the game is more interesting as things get more serious. It's not as good as 2nd game but it layed foundation of what portal is , a challanging puzzle game with a tragic story which doesn't take itself too srsly. 8/10.

About This Game
The game is designed to change the way players approach, manipulate, and surmise the possibilities in a given environment; similar to how Half-Life® 2's Gravity Gun innovated new ways to leverage an object in any given situation.
Players must solve physical puzzles and challenges by opening portals to maneuvering objects, and themselves, through space.

If you don't care about challenges and achievements, this game is fine to play from start to finish. Humor and voice acting is great, puzzles are not that hard, but rather entertaining and make you feel very smart once you figure them out. But once you find out what you have to do to obtain 100% in this game... oh boy. On my playthrough I've missed exactly 1 camera and the game didn't tell me where exactly. So I had to take all those cameras down again and pray each time that I got the missing one. I don't know how people found out about most of the radios, but doing them without a guide is nearly impossible, and for me using a guide for things like these is not fun. I certainly felt physical pain from doing "least amount of steps" challenges. The other types are just tough, but THIS one is literally torture. Saving after each successful step, constantly loading back... I thought I was mentally prepared for anything, but it really broke me.
very very good game. This is a must play game, and once you finish the story I recommend 100% it. This game has so much content and will be timeless.
Very fun puzzles with a mind-bending mechanic, that being the portal gun. Content is very limited and minimal but it's definitely worth playing!
Hello and, again, welcome to the Aperture Science computer-aided enrichment center's review section. We hope your brief searching for games in the steam vault has been a pleasant one. We will be ready to begin the test, whenever you decide to buy and install this game. Before we start, however, keep in mind that although fun and learning are the primary goals of all enrichment center activities, serious injuries may occur. Moreover you will be asked to navigate a series of increasingly complex puzzle based test chambers. All 19 test chambers ...not including the parts we didn’t tell you about. Do not worry, your failure, I mean success is anticipated and, frankly, highly amusing. You may become attached to certain objects. Do not. They are not sentient. Do not feed them or cuddle them. Especially the Companion Cube. It can't even speak. Expect to fall. A lot. Expect to panic. Occasionally scream. Remember: your mistakes are part of the experiment. Your very existence is ...
The portal gun is a unique and mind-bending gameplay mechanic that is fun to use. The puzzles are clever and make you feel incredibly smart when you figure them out. The game is famous for its sharp, dark, and very funny dialogue. The antagonist, GLaDOS, is one of the most memorable and well-written characters in gaming. It creates a unique feeling of isolation and mystery that grows as you play. The game is short and perfectly paced. It doesn't waste a single moment. The final escape and the famous end-credits song are a perfect conclusion.
Overall: A classic! Groundbreaking and innovative mechanics. Good villains and especially the main villain! 95% out of 100%! Sidenote: I always recommend to get the entire orange box! this is one of the gems and not the only one, the rest are good games. Always support the developers that done an astonishing job! Weak point: Nothing! Really excellent game.
It was difficult at first, repeatedly switching perspectives—but soon I got used to it. All test chambers in this game are beautifully made. And they do require some creativity to solve. One thing that Portal has taught me is that trying different things is better than mindlessly meandering. It has worked for every test chamber. It's an amazing game overall. The credit song: Portal, in my opinion, has the best credits out of all the games I have played.
Cool game, some of my first memories from gaming come straight from Portal 1, Xbox 360, from the Orange Box Collecton! It will always hold a very special place in my heart. Honestly, Portal 2 Campaign just doesn't compare!
Portal. A simplistic artistic game, centred around the premise that blue portal goes to orange portal: Blue Portal, a metaphor for the struggle and tumult present in everyday life. Blue portal, a symbol of the mediocrity and stress that we all endure, for little shared gain. Blue Portal, representing all the evil and sin that humanity incurs during its advance towards the stars. Orange Portal, a silly fun time. Oh, and no PotatOS, therefore I must deduct points. 9.9/10
