The Guild II: Renaissance is a unique blend of life simulation, economic strategy, political intrigue, and roleplaying set in a living medieval world. Developed by Runeforge Game Studios and published by THQ Nordic, this standalone expansion to The Guild II refines and expands upon the base game’s systems, offering players a richer, more polished experience. It invites you to take on the role of a commoner in the late Middle Ages, and rise to wealth and influence through business, politics, family alliances, and—if you choose—ruthless manipulation. Few games offer the same depth of historical simulation with such dynamic, sandbox-style freedom. The game begins by letting you create a character and choose a profession from one of several “dynasty” classes, such as blacksmith, innkeeper, rogue, or scholar. Each class opens up different paths to success, with its own economic focus, social perks, and potential for expansion. The beauty of The Guild II: Renaissance lies in how i...

Really good game but I HIGHLY recommend you to play with the mod Fajeth megamodpack who fix A LOT of bugs, and improves consequently the vanilla game with for exemple a better management when you let AI manage your buildings, improvement with the banker gameplay etc etc
The game gets a lot of praise and frankly I don't see it. Trade routes are infuriating. To avoid micromanagement you'd think trade routes would solve the problem but they are a fast way to just clogging up everything, shops overflowing with 200 parts of a product that stop other things being produced because of 'slots' which means you've got to then manually sort it out by dumping the material on the market with a free cart and you'd think that you could just tell the cart to send less of that good... which you can, by ether making it send less in a trip or take the trip less frequently but there's absolutely no good way of telling how little you should send and more often then not you end up then sending way too little... and then on the other hand if you set the cart to travel 'often' instead of constantly the cart for all I can tell will maybe sometimes once in a blue moon maybe maybe maybe actually go and do its job. Making the a.i do it is an easy way to set your entire trade e...

Might actually be the greatest game ever, especially with the reforged mod that is still very actively developed and troubleshooted in real time by the devs.
The Best!
