SpellForce 2 simplifies both its RPG and RTS elements and adopts a more stylized, cartoony look-but the result is a smoother, more accessible experience that still carries the heart and ambition of SpellForce: The Order of Dawn. Though streamlined, it never feels hollow. The passion behind it shines through, making it a worthy and heartfelt successor.

Despite the army of darkness lurking around the corner.
RTS combat
There's actually no RTS combat in this game. It's just point move units and let the AI do the fighting. Units act too fast for the player to successfully perform any tactics, and there's no tactical pause.
