GORE

GORE is a found footage horror experience that immerses players in an unknown mountain range designed to resemble the scenery of the Pacific Northwest in the United States. Drawing inspiration from the many works of Lovecraft, Fears to Fathom: Ironbark Lookout, and John Carpenter’s The Thing, this game pulls you deep into a decaying wilderness where something horrible is rapidly spreading through the surrounding environment. You must discover where this fleshy entity came from, armed with only a flashlight and handheld camera. 

Take your time with this game, do not rush through it - it is meant to be an an environmental horror as much as it is meant to be visually appealing and was built to be a euphoric and peaceful "hiking simulator" of sorts, but will fall into chaos soon enough. 

This game includes:

> Handheld/ VHS-like post-processing and movements, creating a nostalgic experience

> Two fleshed out (pun intended) levels

> Original soundtrack

> Completely custom Mountain Range + Landscape

> Toggleable flashlight for darker areas

> A lore-rich and linear story with reliance on environmental and psychological horror aspects. The story is told through the players' inner dialogue and notes scattered around each level. Triggering said dialogue and notes via exploration will unlock new areas, allowing the player to progress through the game.
