About This Game

Robin just wants to be a mechanic and help people, but without a license she’s a sinner in Mother’s eyes. Ever since picking up her wrench, the world has been going nuts and she's wanted to bolt it back together. Now Penance is raining down on everyone she loves and One Concern agents are after her.

But something big is going on – bigger than droughts of Ivory fuel and personal conflicts – and Robin’s in the thick of it.

  • Hours of nut-twisting platform action-adventure
  • Numerous densely detailed locations filled with fine-tuned action and puzzles
  • 20+ gear-grinding, screen-filling boss battles stand in your way
  • Three game-changing difficulty settings supported by a unique tweak system
  • A heart-wrenching epic – can one mechanic fix the whole world?

At some point I just got annoyed by the puzzles. It stopped being fun.

I knew that it was going to be a solid game when I first got it. But it was the story that really surprised and impacted me. It really got me...

Iconoclasts is one of my favorite games ever, I love it to bits and even after the first time that I beat it, I still cry on some parts of the game. The gameplay is solid and feels great, the art is gorgeous, the OST is catchy and memorable, and the story is amazing. The only thing I can truly criticize is the "Metroidvania" aspect of it as its very light and the progression is quite streamlined, if you are looking for a Metroidvania then this may not scratch that itch of yours, but still, its a great game. Please give Iconoclasts a try because it absolutely deserves your time, its a phantastic game that should receive way more attention!

Iunno why I never reviewed this at the time but this is genuinely one of my favorite games ever made. While the metroidvania aspects can be lacking, the level design is really good, the puzzles are satisfying to solve, the combat is tight and fun, and the story is actually a really compelling dive into fanaticism and whether it's always worth it to do what's right, consequences be damned. It's a world full of extremely flawed characters with compelling backstories and interesting motivations. Really, aside from the aforementioned lacking metroidvania elements, my only complaint is that the last few hours kinda feel like they drag pacing wise, but it does help the story get wrapped up properly.

this game is fantastic, its a great time killer and it teaches you how to play through its game design. There needs to be more games like this. The lore of the world and the characters are really good and the story is surprisingly dark and complex(Every character teaches you something.)

A very well-made action platformer/pseudo-Metroidvania. Worth the purchase and your time.

I really kept playing it for the plot. The game is full of memorable characters and events that work well within the context of a platformer... well, an action puzzle. It touches on various themes such as camaraderie, family, religion, and control. Instead of having a major villain, it's a group of systematic oppressors. The downside is that it goes on a bit too long, but I suppose the author (yes, it's developed by a single person) had his reasons. Also, some bosses and even enemies end up being very gimmicky, so much so that I ended up skipping them entirely because I didn't know how to beat them. Chrome's ending and the game's ending are hilarious.

the character goes invisible when taking damage...like you can not see where you are for a whole second. i wanted to like this game but even the platforming becomes incredibly tedious because youre invisible! if they fixed that though i would really like to try this game again but i ended up returning it
