About This Game

A Sirius Game is the latest game published by Aldorlea Games (Millennium, Asguaard, Moonchild, Girlfriend Rescue etc.) on Steam and developed by Overcloud9 and Phantasm Games.

A Sirius Game is a 3D, action-adventure game with RPG elements. It requires the player’s ship to escort other merchant ships to different ports unharmed by the pirates and also trade different items for money. The game is set in a medieval environment with quirky humour and a lot of side quests and fantasy based pirate ships.

Story - Siriusly, how many games have bored you with a ‘happily-ever-after’ ending? Not anymore! Now you can play the role of the bad guy with bad intentions! It’s siriusly all about Sirius, the rotten apple of our game.

It all started on a nice, bright and sunny day. Sirius, the arrogant brat, gets thrown out of his house by his father after a squabble.
Now he gets set to take revenge of this petty disgrace. Does life finally teach Sirius a lesson? Or is it all lost in his thirst for petty vengeance?

Purchased since it looked like Pirates! Junior Edition. Not bad for the price. Entire game can be played with the mouse. left click steer, right click shoot, middle click camera and scroll wheel zoom. Gameplay consists of trade and missions between 4 different zones. Storyline is presented through visual novel-like cut-scenes when docked. Missions progress the story forward while still leaving the free roam options of finding loot, slaughtering pirates and picking up sub-quests. Supports 1080p and some basic graphic options. Should run on netbooks/laptops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sog0_8DrX1Q More aimed at the younger generation but I'm still having some fun with it. Would like to see the in-game trophies linked to steam achievements.

Ok atmosphere but it feels like a mobile version of pirates! or sunless sea but with far worse controls

If you like Pirates! you can't pass by this game. It even has advantages over Pirates! — no stupid dances and captain fights and surprisingly interesting story. Controls is not perfect but bearable.

This game has a lot of potential, but the controls make it more frustrating than fun. The left mouse button controls movement, you rotate your view by pressing the scroll wheel, and you fire at pirates with the right button. Any one of which makes sense, but during combat it is unwieldy to say the least. If they update the controls I will revisit this review, but for now, it just isn't fun.

I ignored the negative reviews about this game because it looked like something I'd like but I probably should have listened. I got this for 49 cents and looking I see that it's still on sale for 49 cents (which is a 90% discount) so either that's a coincidence or it hasn't gone off sale since I bought it, which has been a while. I didn't find most of the problems deal-breaking but the ships travel speed is REALLY slow and the title character is a grade A jerk. I gave up when I sat through Sirius being an entitled two year old, then was faced with that slow, slow ship back to the last location. Even if it looks like you might like it, the negative reviews are NOT exaggerating. Even if you're morbidly curious, this isn't even enjoyable from the stand-point of it being a bad game.

At first, this game seemed like it would be fun. Unfortunately, it is littered with so many bugs that I found it frustrating. First, aiming your cannons can be hard, since the cursor looks like a hook, so you have to guess at where the center of the hook is to hit anything. Second, some of the quests are seriously bugged. It is often impossible to select a quest in the quest journal, as for some reason they bug out. Also, there are some quests that reset when unselected, and sometimes getting a new quest will de-select your current quest. And sometimes, a quest might say "go back to X port" and when you arrive, nothing happens (this means you have to start it over, and that doesn't always work). I found all of these bugs converged on the same quest, and rage-quit as a result. Third, the pathfinding is strange. It is based on a grid pattern, and your ship takes whatever pathe the game decides is the best path, but I often find that means I end up sailing through shallow w...

Has a working menu with settings and even a tutorial which is helpful. It is clear that some effort has been put into this, but I can't recommend it because I didn't enjoy it.

A Sirius Game is more crap shovelware from Aldorlea, the asset flipper who's dumped OVER ONE HUNDRED RPG Maker asset flips onto Steam, they pump out an asset flip every two weeks, so they're serial polluters of the Steam store and they do it because they want your money for valueless crap games... and this is no exception. But it isn't an RPG Maker asset flip, instead, they conned some feckless amateur dev out of a low poly mobile app-esque ripoff of Sid Meier's Pirates! (and we can cross our fingers and hope that Take-Two interactive sues this serial polluter into oblivion). Not to be confused with an actual game, this crap mobile app is just a shallow pirate themed shooter as you escort ships around... yeah, it's nothing of value at all, just a shallow mockery of older, yet far more sophisticated PC games. Again, to understand why such garbage is polluting Steam here, just look at the developers track record of harmful, greedy cash grabs and pollution. From a technical perspect...
