About the Game

Sous Raccoon is an Action-Roguelike Defense game where you play as a raccoon sous chef assistant. You'll embark on a journey to open restaurants in various locations, with the head chef spending 7 days at each location before moving to the next.

Your duties include handling everything within the restaurant: Taking and Delivering orders, gathering ingredients, and serving food to customers. But that's not all – you must also protect customers from attacking monsters. If you fail in your mission, you'll be fired and have to start all over again.

Skill System
Each day, birds will appear for players to defeat in order to earn gold coins. These coins can be used to purchase skills that are randomly offered to players for selection each day.

Random Event System
Every day, there's a chance for special events to occur that will either increase or decrease the difficulty of your gameplay experience.

Character Upgrade & Skin System
When the game ends, whether you win or lose, the tips that players earned during stages can be used to upgrade characters or purchase skins outside of gameplay stages.

At the current stage, I can see that the game becomes repetitive pretty quickly. Most of the perks are just +1 or +2 to stats, with only two perks that actually provide unique gameplay. I haven’t gotten very far into the game yet, but I can see the potential for it to become much better in the future. From my current point of view, though, I’d say it’s a low 2 out of 5.

It would be nice if it could be played by two players, because one person has to handle too many things. Overall, the game is really cute. It can be played with a joy-con, but the in-game instructions haven’t been updated accordingly. This makes it a bit confusing while playing, so I had to randomly press buttons to figure out which one does what. About the dev roadmap, It is very clear, really looking forward to this game in the future. Keep it up!
