How to scam people by pretending to develop a video game. 1. Choose a popular genre in the early access segment. 2. Get all the assets you can, especially the free stuff. 3. Use AI language models to generate some hackneyed story. 4. Throw everything together somehow so you can claim you have an early access build. 5. Put the crap online on Steam and don't charge more than 10 bucks so people are more willing to buy your stuff. 6. Give your own game positive reviews on Steam. Preferably by your own “developers,” because they know best how ‘terrific’ the game is. But make sure that not all your reviews are about games from your own “studio.” That relativizes the advantage. 7. Make obvious balance errors from the start. This way, players will interact with you, and you can then use supposed patches to pretend that the “game” is being developed. 8. Some people will return the game on Steam, but others will not, hoping that it will eventually become a decent game, and those ...

About This Game
🧪 Project Cobalt
It began with a contract you were never meant to sign.
Inside a cold, sterile chamber, silent doctors 🥼 watched as you agreed to something you didn’t understand.
☣️ Poison gas filled the room… and darkness consumed you. 🌑
⏳ Days later, you awaken on a hostile island 🌴.
You are weak, hungry, and unarmed 🍖🥵.
The experiment has already begun — and survival is no longer a choice… it’s the only option ⚔️.
🌴 Survive the Unknown
🍖 Monitor your hunger, thirst, stamina, body temperature, and health — every small decision matters.
🐍 Beware of scorpions, snakes, crabs, bears, deer, chickens, and more.
💉 Fight against invisible threats like disease, poisoning, bleeding, drowning, and exhaustion.
🌙 The night is long, the storms are violent, and the island itself wants you gone.
📦 Gather & Craft
🚢 Scavenge drifting barrels and containers washed ashore.
⛏️ Collect wood and minerals to forge tools, weapons, and survival gear.
🛖 Build shelters to withstand storms and environmental hazards.
⚒️ Upgrade what you craft to push your survival further.
💰 Economy & Progression
🐓 Hunt, farm, and gather resources to earn money.
🛒 Spend your earnings to buy rare items, materials, and upgrades.
💎 Decide wisely — every purchase can change the course of your survival.
🌦️ A Dynamic World
🌙 A full day–night cycle brings both opportunity and danger.
⛈️ Shifting weather changes the way you must play — adapt or perish.
⚡ The island is unpredictable, and it remembers every mistake you make.
📦 Loot containers and drifting barrels for supplies.
📌 Key Features
✅ Deep survival systems (hunger, thirst, stamina, temperature, health).
🐍 Dangerous wildlife & environmental hazards.
⚒️ Resource gathering, crafting, and upgrades.
💰 Hunting, farming, selling & buying items.
🌙 Dynamic day–night cycle and weather events.

The game has potential but wow, even after the dev updated the game to fix durability on tools/weapons, it still is a drag and items break after a few hits. Oh and don't think that resources are abundant because you will be dead wrong and nothing respawns. Once you take and use that resource, its done, gone forever and then you have to start buying them from the store which you have to pay an arm and a few kidneys just for a stick. How are you suppose to buy and sell things when you don't have anything to sell or cant buy anything because you don't have any resources!!! Make it make sense..... And yes, I know its early access but thats no excuse, test and balance your game before you start taking peoples money.
This game is rough. I would not recommend. Horrible experience. I understand this is Early Access, but the bugs are horrible. The progress is a very long grind. Tools and Weapons break down so fast. The dying and no loot on re-spawn is a bad idea for survival games. Maybe if it had different game modes that would work. Overall I would not recommend this game at current state of Early Access.
So, there is no game here yet. Most of the recipes require you to buy stuff at the traders, but since you can't even sell to the trader you cannot progress in the game. Caveat Emptor! Buyer Beware! Also, you will go through more than one tool for each item you want to open. For instance a wood crate will wear out an iron axe. 1 crate and not a stone axe. Iron!
This game is going to be awesome as it gets further developed. Iv'e played for 4.2 hours and have had a lot of fun playing it. As far as the negative reviews go they should be ashamed for what there saying. Google the game and watch some you tube on it and then decide if it's a game for you. 👍
if your going to clone a game you have to do it better then the game you trying to clone shallow review for a shallow game maybe spend more time on the game and not trying belittle reviews
Unfortunately I cannot recommend Project Cobalt at this time. From everything being asset packs and game templates, to the bugs and jankyness, and the overall game loop feels cheap and thrown together. I tend to give a lot of leeway when it comes to small indie projects but this one has just too many issues with it right now in its current state. It feels a lot more like a demo than a full on game. You're limited to one relatively small island that has resources littered across it and the objective is to place enough of those items into the wagon so you can click on the boat icon in the build book. The survival aspect is fully there but incredibly shallow and acts more as an annoyance than a challenge or game loop of itself. Its so cold, i can barely move fluctuating in minutes to its so hot, i can barely breathe just because the sun came up is a good example of how rough PC is right now. It is great to see the devs actively updating and looking to improve the game. Its not a total l...
The game is unplayable. Severly buggy and needs A LOT of work. Also some of the sounds in the game are really obnoxiously loud and turning them down in settings doesnt work
Ok, so its more like in early Alpha, 0800 sun is up and I step on one side of the shade and I will freeze to death, step out and die of heat stroke. By day three I had two bears, three deer, 4 crabs, and a couple of snakes, made it almost impossible to move around. Equipment durability is for Sh**, break on box or chop down one tree and you need to get it repaired if not the very next item will break it. After building an item there is no way to move it, once placed that's it. It should have been flushed out more before early access.
I really enjoy this game. It gives similar vibes to 7 Days to Die. I love the crafting, the fighting mechanics, and overall vibes. However, can we have more control over the volume? The storm and ocean is SO loud. Love it tho :)
