  • Discover the truth about humanity’s future exile from Earth…

The year is 2281 and piloting military grade mechs is the only way back to Earth, 80 years after a Global War for resources forced decent society to the edge of Earth’s atmosphere.

Ethan is an engineer from the United Global Remnant: the very last survivors of the human race. Space is safe, but rumours of aliens, terrorists and a meteorite finally conscript Ethan away from humanity's last orbital home, the UGR Astralis space colony.

He must pilot a series of increasingly advanced Tactical Frames alongside the UGR at their base in Manchester, UK. With mind control, there’s no death. But the only way to get health back is by absorbing energy spawned by fallen foes, you to fight to survive. Once a frame is destroyed, a new one is dropped in from orbit allowing you to get straight back into the fight.

TO LEARN THE TRUTH, YOU MUST GO BEYOND FLESH AND BLOOD.

Stand your ground fearlessly. Your enemies are human, machine, alien – and unknown. And anything else we can all come up with as a community!

Venture Beyond anything you’ve ever known - break rank and rules.

Join the UGR. Believe the impossibly dark secrets of a 23rd century Earth gone rogue...

Before you continue reading or buy, read what the developers have to say in the Early Access Game notes. Know what their plans are... The standout feature of BFB is the executions. Run up to an enemy and you can perform an execution, which there are several different styles. Executions on humans seem to be the most polished while executions on animals can be performed they are broken. The executions are gory and generally end up with the victim being torn from their limbs, showing their spines and other internals dangling out Combat is not very inspiring, you are a giant mech trying to shoot tiny, fast moving, targets where pin point accuracy is required to hit your targets. If this doesn't change then be prepared for a mediocre experience. Having said that it's something that can be easily fixed by the dev's. One option would be allow the projecticles to gravitate towards enemies (not homing missiles) allowing near misses to become hits, therefore slightly more forgiving on c...

Cannot recommend.... YET. + -Nice graphics -good gameplay -interesting background setting - -Tutorial missions take WAY too long -facial animations should be improved or removed -input konfiguration needs some fixing Be sure to grab this gem on a sale though, if it will be worked on and polished properly there is a diamond inside.

I don't have the habit of posting any reviews, but, this one is worth it. (note: I've got over 4000 games in my library) WHY? 1. It's one of the games in early access that I'm sure I'm going to play from the start once it's finished! 2. I would like to motivate the developers to polish and finish it, and by reviewing it perhaps I can get more player to review it too! Motivation is one hell of a thing! And I want to play this game fully optimized for my rig! 3. It's fun to play! 4. The price is really atractive too! The game really needs a lot of work in optimization 'cause sometimes it's pretty unplayable, but I don't think that's an impossible task for this particular developers. I'm playing the game in a low quality settings, so I can't say the game is beautiful until I can play it the right way! The only really nasty and ugly thing it's the way the mechs use picked up guns. It's awkward! The movement need to be polished but I cannot be sure if it's a problem (of my rig) of fps ...

No Savegame in the first hour of game. Crashes within the first hour. so I have to start from the beginning four times until now. Cutscenes are not skipable. Much work to do, for becoming a playable game. Will change after patching this bugs.

Bad, bad, bad. Graphics are terrible, loading times that give you time for reading the Lord of the Ring. This looks messy at best. No update lately. As far as I am concerned, complete waste of money.

The game is embarrasingly badly made, with graphics you would expect of a 10-tear-old game, cluncky controls, motion glitches, random CTDs... this is not an episode, it is a beta at best, at it requires a major overhaul (especially expanding on the story) before it can be considered a game. Also, don't believe those screenshots for a seond. Even on highest settings the graphics are bad-bad, bad, and the game literally has no shadows in this day and age. A major disappointment for me.

This game has so much potential, with the right amount of refinement and polish, i know the final product is going to be amazing! The mech designs and the way they feel is great, I can't wait to see what new augments and weapons are available for them in the future. Running in unreal 4 the game is visually stunning and has a nice level of environmental detail. Being a resident of Manchester myself I can say they nailed what a futuristic version of our great city might look like. And the sound of the wood Pidgeon whilst walking around the city was a nice touch. I also like the idea of DOOM style fatalities/glory kills on your enemy’s, these are not that well animated at this point but I am sure in future these will look awesome and will feel great to execute. The only gripe I had with the game is the voice acting, the main guy who is guiding you through the game was simply a bore to listen to, and the sergeant wasn't much better, it felt like they were literally reading the lines ...

Glitchy graphics, animation bugs, and a combat system that feels a liiiittle too floaty are the problems inherent in this game... HOWEVER, the on-sale price of $6, the interesting story and world-building, the clear amount of effort and heart that have gone into this early-access piece, and the promise of the developer to work on it, I can safely say that it's worth the price of admission to help work as a beta-tester on this. Now to be more positive in this positive review, this is a game set in a post-apocalyptic future following a nuclear war. Also, you're a space-dwelling human piloting a hulking killer robot. It's pretty great. Weapons are cool, designs are cool, sound design is good, and once they fix the graphical glitches and improve control feedback it'll be an excellent game.
