About the Game

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration includes the base game and Season Pass featuring all-new content. Explore Croft Manor in the new “Blood Ties” story, then defend it against a zombie invasion in “Lara’s Nightmare”. Survive extreme conditions with a friend in the new online Co-Op Endurance mode, and brave the new “Extreme Survivor” difficulty. Also features an outfit and weapon inspired by Tomb Raider III, and 5 classic Lara skins. Existing DLC will challenge you to explore a new tomb that houses an ancient terror in Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, and combat waves of infected predators in Cold Darkness Awakened.

KEY FEATURES:
  • Lara’s Journey – Lara uncovers an ancient mystery that places her in the cross-hairs of a ruthless organization known as Trinity. As she races to find the secret before Trinity, the trail leads to a myth about the Lost City of Kitezh. Lara knows she must reach the Lost City and its hidden secrets before Trinity. With that, she sets out for Siberia on her first Tomb Raiding expedition.
  • Woman vs. Wild – In “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” Lara battles with not only enemies from around the world, but the world itself. Hunt animals to craft weapons and scavenge for rare resources in densely populated ecosystems. You’ll encounter beautifully hostile environments, full of treacherous conditions and unstable landscapes that will require Lara to push her limits to the very edge.
  • Guerilla Combat - Use the environment to your advantage, scale trees and dive underwater to avoid or takedown enemies, configure Lara’s gear, weapons, and ammo to suit your play style from stealth to guns blazing, craft explosives on the fly to sow chaos, and wield Lara’s signature combat bows and climbing axe.
  • Return to Tomb Raiding – Tombs are back, and they’re bigger and better than ever. In “Rise of the Tomb Raider” you’ll explore huge, awe-inspiring ancient spaces littered with deadly traps, solve dramatic environmental puzzles, and decipher ancient texts to reveal crypts as you take on a world filled with secrets to discover.

the flatscreen version of this game is presumably worth a thumbs up, as it does exactly what's on the tin. but calling this 'vr supported' when there's only one dlc with a vr gimmick that isn't compatible with contemporary headsets anyways is a bit of false advertising. the idea of vr tomb raider is a good one, but this game ain't it. should have the vr tag removed entirely imo.

mid af. goofy in story writing and in lines. same unnecessary crafting and looting from the first game. lack of animation varieties.

Sadly I won't be recommending this game, if this is your first ever Tomb Raider game you might like it, but I would recommend to play the OG Tomb Raider, that is really one of the greatest game made, yes this has improved combat mechanics and better graphics but way more loot system and I don't know who came up with this idea that cutting trees every few steps is a great idea

★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ – Solid Experience! I’ve spent some time with this game and it’s been great overall. Gameplay is smooth, graphics are solid, and the mechanics feel well-balanced. There are a few minor bugs or areas that could be polished, but nothing game-breaking. Definitely worth a try if you're into this genre!

Is Lara Croft still a psychopath masquerading as an innocent little girl with daddy issues? Yes. Does she still go through more explosions and action sequences that makes James Bond blush? Yes. The difference between this game and the 2013 prequel, is that the environments of this game is vastly superior and makes it more fun to explore than the prequel and that's really the difference between this game and the last and why it deserves a recommendation. The previous game had boring environments and didn't give players much incentive to explore, this game does that much better. You go from Soviet era frozen Siberia to a lively nearby thawed out forest occupied by the resistance and then to a mythical underground city occupied by the ghosts of dead Roman legionnaires. The game offers a lot to explore. The improved combat helps the game as well, and the hook that you get later in the game makes exploring fun as you swing around and grab onto ledges that you had no business grabbing, I o...

I’ve been playing Rise of the Tomb Raider for what feels like forever. Every time I start it, I sigh and think, “Not today.” At first, I explored every corner, hoarding herbs and arrows like I was prepping for survival. But halfway through, I just started running from marker to marker like a soulless GPS. This game refuses to end — like a scenic road trip where the signs lie about how close you are. The characters? Flat as cardboard. Sometimes random mercs’ chatter feels livelier than the cutscenes. The story? So empty it feels like filler between pretty landscapes. Occasionally the pacing picks up and you think, “Finally!” Then it crashes back into boredom. And that’s when you realize it’s time to save, quit, and come back later.
