Well, let me start by saying the software is great and absolutely worth paying for. There are alternatives that are no cost with similar features, but in my experience the feature set available via AquaSnap is unmatched. That said, do NOT buy it on Steam. The dev does not appear to care about this release branch, this version of the program is buggy, has issues launching on startup, and a bunch of other small QoL issue that make an app that's supposed to improve QoL; pointless. If you're going to buy it, do it directly from the Nurgo Software website.

About This Game
Please read before you buy
The Steam version of AquaSnap requires the Steam client in order to function. If this is a problem for you, please note that we also have a standalone version (with a trial period) that you can purchase on our website.
About the Software
Too many windows on your screen? Stop wasting your productivity.
AquaSnap is a powerful window manager that helps you arrange and organize multiple applications on your desktop with minimum effort. It allows you to achieve maximum multitasking, especially if you own a high-resolution monitor or a multi-monitor setup.
Window docking
Split your desktop in one easy gestureDrag & Drop your windows to the sides or corners of the screen and they are automatically resized to fit one half or one quarter of the screen. Just like the built-in Aero Snap function of Windows 10 but with more possibilities! This is especially useful on a 4K monitor or on multiple monitors.
Window tiling
Sometimes, splitting your desktop into halves or quarters is not idealWhen two windows are side by side, resizing one of them while pressing [Ctrl] will also resize the other one. It's an easy and powerful way to modify the layout of several tiled windows.
Window snapping
Don't waste your desktop space, pixels are precious!AquaSnap allows you to easily align your windows by making them behave like magnets. This simple feature is the cornerstone of AquaSnap and has been carefully designed to assist you without getting in your way.
Window stretching
One click to conquer this free space on your screen! This is another powerful way to quickly split your desktop space between several windows. Double-click on the edge of a window to maximize it in one direction. Do the same while pressing [Shift] to maximize it vertically or horizontally.
Move windows together
Easily manage these small floating windowsProfessional applications with complex UI often scatter small toolbox windows on your desktop. Keep them grouped and move them all at once. Move one window while pressing [Ctrl] and the whole group of adjacent windows will follow.
Make it stay on top
Need to keep an eye on a small window? This is the best way to have this window always visible while working on a fullscreen application. Shake a window to make it transparent and always on top. Shake it again to restore its normal state.
Mouse shortcuts
Add new functionalities to all your windowsAdd secondary functions to all the clickable elements of the window frames and access all the AquaSnap features with one click. These mouse shortcuts are fully customizable: with 15 different clickable areas, up to 5 mouse buttons recognized plus the modifier keys, the possibilities are endless!

Tiny and clean
A desktop enhancement tool should assist you without slowing down your computer. It's why AquaSnap is 100% composed of highly optimized native code, with no compromise on stability and performance. It uses very little memory and nearly no CPU.FAQ about the Steam version

User Reviews
I cannot recommend this software. The deciding factor for me buying it 2 years ago was that they promised that they would add a cascade feature to the software because I use a lot of terminal windows to monitor servers on multiple 4k windows and it is annoying having to manually size each one everytime i startup my computer. They promised 2 years ago that they would implement the feature in a future update. So I purchased the software waiting for the notification that never came. They no longer support this software. They didn't stand by a promise and I cannot recommend this software.
Since I started using AquaSnap, certain programs have decided to permanently open in stupid positions, and with their windows scaled larger than my screen resolution. I don't think this bug is program specific but the two programs which have developed this bahaviour are 3ds Max, and VLC Media Player. In both cases AquaSnap worked fine, and at first, I didn't have any problems. But then after a couple of days, 3ds Max suddenly decided that it wanted to open too large for my screen vertically, with the top border almost off-screen, and refuses to remember any other previous scale or position when it's closed. Luckily there is a thin strip of the border visible so that I can drag the window down, then scale it properly, then reposition it. It's irritating though when it's a program I use constantly. Then yesterday, after once again using the double click window edge to snap to the edge of the screen, the same thing happened to VLC. It now refuses to remember it's previous position and ...
AquaSnap is a very useful software if you're doing simultaneous things on your desktop. It is also very user friendly, just a little window to setup your shortcuts and learn basics, and here we go. Show the magic of tiling system, snapping, docking and more. I recommend this software. :)
It is true that you must have steam running to use this software, which is a disadvantage. However, when using multiple monitors this program is a definite must-have. Their customer service is very good, I was surprized to find a reply not even a day after I submitted a ticket, and the person was friendly and tried to solve my issue. A couple patches later I was not having the same issue, and am still happily using the product. If you don't want to have the steam running all the time, go to their website. I believe they have a standalone there that doesn't require it.
Why windows doesnt yet include this is confusing.
I really like this utility. But it is unfortunate that the developer has crafted it so that it only works when Steam is running. Other window/monitor utilities like DisplayFusion Pro don't have this restriction. This means that there is a definite disadvantage to gettting the Steam version of the program that I wish I understood before I purchased it. I hope the developer resonsiders because otherwise the tool is quite useful. Edit: Developer helped me get a non-Steam key. Still love this product, just be aware of restrictions with Steam vs. non-Steam versions.
It does the job and it does it well.
I've been using this program every day for more than 3 years, and it has never failed me. I closed the app one day to trouble shoot something unrelated, and it was misery managing windows across monitors, or even aligning windows to other programs or monitors. The ability to send windows to the back with a middle click on a program border is really helpful too. I'm also really surprised it only has 38 reviews. AquaSnap is a must.
Suddenly started telling me I have the free version, features are restricted, even though I paid for it years ago. I messaged the support team still no response. I want my money back, is useless for me at this point.
