Honestly, I think the game is great—super fun and entertaining on the surface. But let’s talk about the real experience: most of the players you face are either using cheats or have some sort of supernatural sixth sense. Seriously, it's like they're psychic. You make the tiniest move at the start of a round—just twitch your joystick slightly—and bam, they’ve already countered it like they read your mind before the match even started. It’s impressive, really. Either we’re playing against gods in disguise or half the lobby downloaded some magic software. Either way, Namco seems incredibly motivated to do absolutely nothing about it. So just keep that in mind before buying the game—fair warning. Oh, and let’s not forget the glorious quitters. You beat them, and poof—disconnected faster than their dignity. What do you even call those people? “Lacking character” feels a bit too kind. Still, if you can grab it at a good price, I’d say it’s worth it just for the...

Seems the gameplay issues of Tekken 8 remain at large. I recommend sticking to a safe bet and go for Tekken 7.
For me personally this is the best fighting game that I played so far because the game actually reward those who take the time to learn the mechanic and be patient unlike Tekken 8 or anime fighters that encourage forced 50/50 every time in a knockdown/plus frame situations but still the game is not perfect because : -) Frame Data as DLC is just scummy -) Some part of story mode's presentations are quite lacking -) Single player content is trash -) Some character are just fucking annoying to hear the voicelines, to play againts, and have terrible design (Chloe, Lei) -) Hwoarang's backlash( who tf design this move) -) Zafina's backdash if you can cancel it -) very easy to smurf -) very easy to cheat -) No ban for plugger -) Online lobby tend to crash itself but still best fg that I play so far
Re-downloaded this game just to play over T8. Which says alot....
Thanks for everything. Great game that did not deserve the utter SLANDER about how "BORING" it was even towards the end of the game. I had a lot of fun and some great times with this game, until I lost to SK in a FT10 and had to uninstall. Now, I sit alone in the darkness laughing like the joker did when he was released from arkham asylum netplaying against degenerate LArs NINA and CLYDE players fighting for my life.
they keep punching me even after i asked them to stop
Nah not worth it at 2025. No major updates. Ranked lobbies full of OP characters with op moves abuse lol
I honestly would recommend this game over tekken 8 because of how fun and laid back tekken 7 is and also how much balanced the game is. Its quite good as well as a couch potato co-op game to play with the bros if they come over and want something different to play. It has quite the and unique roster than tekken 8 that is just making re-appearing characters being paid for like heihachi which I find stupid and greedy. Just play this game if your a casual or a die hard fighting game fan its quite the experience for every type of player.
If you enjoyed Tekken as a kid, or are new to Tekken, this is the game to get. It has every character, feature, loadscreen, cutscene from the old games and brings it into the newest generation. Smooth, fast gameplay that feels better than it ever has.
I have the deluxe edition...i loved the gameplay...it is full of surprises. Some characters..like Negin...and Demon Jin ..Eddie and Martial Law are excellent for newcomers. Others are more of a challenge. The character's boasts when they win is amazing. A perfect game. Get it.
