I won't say this game isn't fun, because it could very well get really fun later on in the game. I got through the first 3 maps, and never felt that feeling of joy when playing a new game. The game had very basic mechanics, so it shouldn't be hard to learn for any new player, but it also leaves it wanting in the tactical department. You can use your dragon to shoot enemies, and choose the path for your cavalry, but otherwise you have no control over battles, not even in setting up where you want a type of troops to start. I don't believe this is a $9 game, it feels more like a $3 game, and I couldn't recommend it to anyone.

How to make a game in 10 minutes? Merge the ideas of the Half Minute Hero and Desktop Dungeon, throw out all visuals, animation and gameplay, and you'll get 10 Minute Barbarian. It could be a good game, that's for sure. But next time... spend more time!

The game is pretty simple, you are a barbarian that runs across villages and castles to gather men, and then you use your army to conquer other villages and castles to gain more men (and unite the kingdom against the demons). That's about 85% of the gameplay. Later on in the game you'll find a dragon among the enemy that shoots fireballs at your men. Kill the dragon and you can recruit them for yourself and use them to shoot at the enemy. That's another 10%. Even further in the game you'll find cavalry that you need to tell what to do, meaning you need to tell them to charge at point 1 and then point 2 before the battle starts. This leads to them running past the enemies to point 2, unless they are blocked. Then they attack the closest enemy, which can be a wall or an actual enemy. You also get a banner that you can use in battle to guide your men, kind of anyways. Both of these are generally useless and when you can find a for use it, it won't make much of a difference. This is the ...

Well executed concept. This game gave me 3 hours of entertainment. Totally worth it. It's a simple strategic game where you amass a big as army as possible and crush your opponent. Each new level introduces a new gimmick. I wish there was a bit more RNG going on, I'm pretty sure all the maps are static.

A very fun game that takes all the things I like from strategy games but makes them happen in 10 minutes instead of the usual 20 hours.

Very fun little game with what it needs in term of depth and options. Simple but effective.

Nice light strategy game, battle is less controlled than many other games, but you do have some control over deployment and orders.

This is a game with very basic mechanics. Over the course of more than a dozen levels, you control a barbarian army that recruits various units (calvary, knights, villagers) from friendly villages and castles. Each move you make costs one day, and after a certain amount of days, a large enemy army will invade and begin destroying the map. You have to attempt to reach the portal the enemy army transports itself through before the time limit expires and you'll need to fight your way through other enemy landmarks along the way. The entire game is controlled via the mouse and your options during battles are limited to controlling where your dragon shoots his fire and your calvary directs their charges. You can also use gold picked up throughout the map to purchase various unit leaders that allow you to bypass specific unit recruitment caps. It's a good timewaster for a good price. The gameplay is fast paced, and while repetitive, there's not a whole lot you can expect from a game with th...

Enormous fun. One of the best casual games I've played in ages. In a time when games are multimillion dollar affairs that take hours to get into, this game is a breath of fresh air. This game harkens back to simpler days -- 8 or 16 bit games that were simple, effective, and addictive. Love it to (8) bits.
