About This Game

Sentinels: Tower Defense with an Upgrade!

So you love Tower Defense, you love First Person Shooters, and you want both at the same time? Well, we got you covered, Sentinels combines the two into an action packed game like no other. While your automated towers dutifully destroy enemies, you can use manual structures and special abilities to dismantle them from above, or jump into the fray and shoot them down yourself!

Key Features:

 • More than 20 Structures, Weapons, and Specials - Diverse set of tools that’s growing all the time! Includes Flame Throwers, Lasers, Magnetic Bombs, Heat Waves, and the oh so cute Rift Wraith.
 • 3 Game Modes - In Skyguard mode you’ll put down your gun to become a tactical master, Onslaught mode delivers relentless action with structures built for you, and Sentinels will demand you to bring all your reflexes and tactics to the table in the ultimate tower defense and FPS hybrid.
 • Persistent Upgrades and Mods - Unlock a dizzying array of loadout options with mods for all item types. Boost critical damage, targeting range, and blast radius to name a few, so you can build the perfect kill zone.
 • Over 30 creep types - Stealth enemies, healers, shield generators, there's no shortage of angry robots for you to turn to scrap! Beware... They can shoot at you too, but we packed in plenty of ways for you to deal with that :).
 • 5 enemy commanders - Face off against enemy commanders with unique abilities and unit modifications, adding a whole new level of replayability.
 • Multiple Map Encounters - Complete multiple encounters per map. Map layouts and enemy properties change, giving you ample opportunity to test your wits and climb the leaderboards.
 • Endless Mode - Survive as long as you can against relentless waves of enemies.

This game had potential. But potential is nothing without updates. This hasn't been updated in years. When I asked the devs if this was still being worked on, I was told this was a passion project and not a first priority. The devs seem like nice people, but they haven't produced the game they said they would. Overall, my experience with their product has been negative, as it hasn't delivered what was promised. Their store page indicated they expected the game to be released in 2019, however, it hasn't even been updated since then. Frankly, games like this are the reason I don't buy Early Access anymore.

You don't know how frantic this TD can get until you're managing the map, zooming down to commander level to snipe small power armor troops, then back out to trigger AOE, and back down trying to pick off the one ship that cleared your turrets. The mechanics are there already. The graphics are great. The updates are frequent. I'm excited to see this one grow.

I really enjoyed this game! Top review was clearly expecting way to much out of a game in alpha but I can understand because mechanics feel pretty solid. I am kinda miffed about endless mode ending on wave 101 but I don't think they have implemented actual scaling yet, just preprogrammed waves that get harder and harder until they cap out so It wasn't like I was going to die anytime soon. Overall Keep up the good work devs.

Saw this game advertised on Imgur of all places and figured hey that looks cool so I grabbed it and you know what, it is rather cool. Still kinda haphazard but I get that it being alpha still. A solid start and I hope to see where it goes from here.

I saw the post on Imgur about this game and it really sparked my interest. I've casually played tower defense games since I was pretty young and love the concept. I've never played one that also integrated the first-person aspect. I think that it is a great way to make the experience more exciting and feel like you are really in control of the strategy. I haven't gotten very far yet, but I like the learning/tower progression in the beginning. It allowed me to learn the tower types and abilities a bit at a time so that I understood how to use each of them. As for the difficulty, I think it is dialed in really well. I'm playing on the easier one, but I wasn't getting perfect scores and sometimes would still fail a level. I think that is perfect. I've played some tower defense games where I surpass the last level and can keep playing in free mode, but i'm basically unbeatable and it got a little stale. I've recommended this to a friend and hope that other people enjoy it as well. Nice ...

I'm a huge Tower Defense fan, with many TDs being my most played games by a large margin. So I'm always on the lookout for a new one to scratch that itch. (I can only play DG2 so many times!) Unfortunately, many of them come up far short. Particularly the ones in Early Access. So I was hesitant to jump on Sentinels, even with a 50% off sale. I'm so glad that I took a chance! Not only is it a very good (perhaps eventually even great) Tower Defense game by itself, but when you add in the FPS element it really shines. Even with Early Access the FPS implementation is smooth and responsive and fun to use. And even better, if you aren't into that sort of thing and just want a pure Tower Defense experience, there's a Skyguard mode where you can't enter FPS mode and get an "orbital railgun" to make up for the loss of firepower. Now, there are still some rough spots and feature updates that need to be fleshed out, but the main reason for my positive review today is because the develop...

If you like Tower Defence Games youll love this! The graphics are amazing as well! Its fast paced, a bit difficult but nothing you cant learn to deal with! The first person perspective is super fun! Its pretty entertaining to essentially headbutt incoming enemies off the path. Great game by some great people!

I love Tower Defense games. There are a lot of them. Some are cheesy. Sentinals is not finished yet but already it is one of the best. And the ability to jump into a tower and do some FPS havoc adds a whole level of depth to this genre. To boild it all down. This game is damn fun!

This is Rob Elam's game, and he did One Must Fall 2097, so I thought I should try this one. It turned out to be satisfying all around! Turret won't reach enemies? Turn yourself into that one then FLY AND SHOOT!! And this is why it's the best turret defense I've ever played, it's so satisfying all around. I highly recommend to play Story Mode first, because you will need the tutorial, otherwise no way you'll get it. It feels a bit discontinued and it feels super pre-alpha, but I hope this game to succeed. :)
