I indirectly got recommended this game because of my love for "Night in the Woods" and this was just, not it. There were some things I liked about it of course- The art style is very pleasant to look at and the dialogue *can* be charming. However- One praise I kept hearing is the dialogue system, and while it *can* be interesting, I personally don't find the system that can be so strict with time which gives you so little time to actually stew on what was being said, what *to* say back, the system that cuts off other's dialogue (and in other parts it's clear that it *can* wait for the other characters to finish, this might just be an oversight), I don't find it's execution to be interesting. And no, "pausing the game" is hardly an excuse for this system, because at that point, don't bother with the system. Other gripes I have with the game, which I won't dwell too much on: - I found the characters to be lacking and at times downright annoying; - The supernatural presentation came off...

Overall recommending it but ahh, I do have some issues with the overall gameplay. The soundtrack is nice, but repetitive and lowkey loud for no reason. I absolutely loathe the way choosing to speak interferes with whatever the previous characters are saying. The back tracking is whatever, I didn't really mind it because I like mindless stuff like that, but I can see how it verges into tedious territory. The voice acting is really nice in my opinion. Some choices end up sounding a lot more defensive and argumentative than what the choice initially displays, which... fine. I know I'll play it again to get a certain ending. It is a fun game overall. I did enjoy the story and the characters (for the most part), I just wish the communicating bits weren't so rushed.
hmmm this game have a nice characters, all the characters look likeable even the "rude characters" because every characters have there own reason and unique trait the voice over is amazing doesn't feel to force or to over the music and atmosphere is very interesting, but not in bad way but in good way the music feels like a some radio, calling, code and also eerie at the same time with fits very well in the game the atmosphere have their own charm with 2d background aesthetic i really like the "villian" is depict by triangle symbol and the sound of many people smush on the radio also, the game maybe feels a little to slow pace and repetitive, but overall oxenfree is good game
I just can't. You have two options: remain silent and do nothing or cut everyone mid sentence. Barely played and already drove me crazy
Bit short, bit boring, it's not bad but finished in 9 hours without even trying.

boring
really liked this game! it got a little tedious at times but the art and story were very good. the scenery was absolutely beautiful. i love the concept of using radio waves to tune into the supernatural.
A long time ago this game convinced me to take the art form seriously
super fun and entertaining! the soundtrack was really good and i loved the story and characters. i'm excited to play again to see how other choices will play out and what i might've missed!
