After my first completion I looked around online for some more info about the game, and it turns out this is a mobile game that got ported to PC. Now it's pretty fun and challenging, and the unlock system in the collection tab adds to the replayability, but it is basically not optimized for PC at all, the end game PVP arena straight up doesn't work, and the loot system is pretty mid... I'd say its worth if it's on sale for like $6, but not worth full price at this point

About This Game
Doomfields is an autobattler roguelite focused on team composition, various upgrades and loot.
Your goal is to build a team that will reach Doomfields and beyond. After entering a room on the map, you (usually) fight. After starting combat, you can admire as your team defeats the enemies.
At the beginning, you choose one of three archetypes: Fighter, Rogue and Mystic.
At level 10 every archetype splits into three new sub-archetypes focused on special gameplay styles and abilities. For example, Fighter splits into Warrior, Knight and Guard. At 20 you get to choose ANOTHER one of three archetypes based on previous choices.
Repeat that for up to 5 characters in your team (you get a new character every stage).
In short: 3 main archetypes -> 9 sub-archetypes -> 27 sub-sub archetypes with unique abilities and mechanics.
Based on that, try building the best team with units that will complement and support each other.
But that's not all. You get epic loot that affects certain abilities or has abilities of its own. There are also keepsakes that support the whole team in various ways, team guidelines and tactics that also affect how your team behaves.
Game also allows asynchronous PvP so you can battle other players teams!
All that customization above creates one of the deepest roguelites out there.

Fun roguelite with a good amount of variety, my only issue is the crashing
Excellent autobattler, lots of unlockables. Really enjoying the game loop
Verdict: Doomfields hides a deep, addictive roguelite behind a simple facade. While combat can feel like a stat check and some systems are poorly explained, the variety of builds, rewarding unlocks, and satisfying grind make it hard to put down. Needs better QoL features and balance tweaks, but if you enjoy experimenting and discovering systems for yourself, it’s a gem. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Doomfields looks deceptively simple at first, but after 85+ hours I’ve found it has surprising depth, mostly hidden behind its unlock systems. There’s a huge variety of items and class evolutions, and once you start experimenting, the possibilities open up. My usual approach is to start with a Warrior tank, add a Mystic healer, then bring in a second Mystic to evolve into a fire damage dealer or summoner. Sometimes I slot in a Rogue, which can become an archer or dagger-based DoT specialist. Starting ...
This game gets me really excited with that fresh adventure feel! The art style is a throwback for sure as well, the combat system is very well done. I would like to see more weapons items and zones added into the game as after the 5th and 6th time it feels as if youve got the game mapped out corner to corner, I don't think the game should be priced as high for the amount of content that it currently has, though having said that; the content is quite good. A few improvements that I would suggest: balancing the scroll drop rate with a slight bias to what kind of gear and the rarity of the gear the player is currently wielding as unlocking some of those +6 bonuses currently is a near impossible feat, then I would also say the last party member is found way too late into the game, usually before the last zone in the game; this would cut out the constant want to grind all of those levels for hours and hours of playtime that would get frustrating for those players who want to min-max their c...
It's simple to start. It's complex to . It's accessible, but enigmatic in that it's not always clear what the next unlock is going to do, which keeps it fresh. Has some oddities around descriptions of runes, item types they apply to, etc. but you can sort of just figure it out through trial and error. This is an entertaining idler that I've enjoyed.
As someone who plays rogue-likes primarily,,, This game is great. Pixel are is nice, build variety is VERY nice, difficulty is good, so much going for it. I understand others' reviews having confusion over some UI elements, but there are help menu's scattered throughout, and I think is such a minor reason to downvote the game entirely. There are worse games, with worse UI, that are still good games.
this has potential I just need more to unlock tbh I love to play this when im just chillin
Super fun game! Could use a few tooltips for things like subclasses, but even without them it’s an awesome pick for anyone into roguelites and autobattlers.
Pretty fun game really, but currently unfinished with multiple run-breaking bugs. It's really frustrating to lose multiple promising game runs due to the game suddenly ending/breaking/getting endlessly stuck from nowhere. It feels like it's anywhere between 20~50% risk that you lose your longer runs to some bullshit. Avoid until these issues are fixed.
