About This Game
You are the wretched refuse. You may be born from dirt, but we will forge you into steel. You will learn to bend; if not you, will you break. In these dark times, the Brotherhood - your Brotherhood - is all that stands between the rekindled flame of civilization and the howling, radiated wasteland.
Your weapons will become more than your tools, they will become your friends. You will use your skills to inspire the lowly and protect the weak... whether they like it or not. Your squadmates will be more dear to you than your kin and for those that survive there will be honor, respect and the spoils of war.

Okay, this was a tough decision on the thumbs up/down metric. So, here we go....
The Good:
1. 2nd best isometric combat of the old-school games. (first place belongs to Jagged Alliance 2 - what a wonderful game that is - till this day!) 2. Plunder, Plunder, Plunder - so much cool stuff that you can gather from the remains of the bad guys who were trying to kill you (including private citizens...ha!). 3. The overall game-play is tight. Inventory, Recruits, Weapons, Vehicles - all done well. (there is one negative, which I shall explain below) 4. The crazy-a$$ plot is awesome. The Brotherhood is kinda scary - feels almost like the USSR in 1919. You are not necessarily playing for the "good guys" - just follow your orders as dictated by the General, and get great laughs from the verbose orders you receive pre and post mission. 5. R LEE ERMEY plays the General!!!! Yea, the retired Marine Drill Sergeant who became a movie and TV star - he deserved an Oscar f...
It's like Fallout 1 & 2 but if you stripped out all the good parts. If your a massive Fallout fan you might get some enjoyment out of learning the story. However with it being non-canon and an absolutely boring repetitive slog I still wouldn't recommend spending any money on this.
Map mode broke not even an hour into my one and only playthrough. Would not recommend slogging through it vanilla.
one of my all time favorites
It's a classic isometric tactics game. Playing first try on hard with the "tough guy" mode on (no saving in missions/outside bunkers) and real-time is a fun challenge. Also, surprisingly runs fine-ish out of the box on my Linux distro (with very minor caveats) so dunno how some people complaining can't make it work on Windows. You can do it!
