About This Game

You are the Captain of the Nimbatus – the biggest mobile drone factory ever made. Design your own unique drones to explore a physics-based universe. Survive by shooting your way through completely destructible planets in different biomes,
compete against autonomous drones built by other players or enjoy complete creative freedom in the sandbox.

Let your imagination run wild

Choose from more than 75 physically simulated parts. The drone construction workshop enables full creative freedom.

Explore three different game modes

  • Survival campaign: Pick one of six diverse captains, navigate the universe and grow your arsenal while facing overwhelming odds.
  • Sandbox: Get creative with unlimited power. Adjust game parameters to your liking, create your own challenges or conquer the universe with endless resources at your disposal.
  • Competitive arenas: Show your engineering skills to the world. Battle other players in several arenas such as Sumo, Racing, Brawl & Catch.

Mine entire planets

You’ll encounter countless procedurally generated planets that are fully destructible and rich in resources, each with their own unique properties, climate zones and enemies.

Automate your drone to the fullest

Take the additional challenge and construct fully automated space drones by combining
sensors and logic parts. Use your inventions in singleplayer or measure your programming skills against other players.

Choose your weapon and upgrade your ship

Fight with endless weapon combinations in the campaign or build your own custom
weapons from scratch in the weapon workshop by researching the tech tree. Upgrade your mothership to aid you on your mission and shift the odds in your favour.

I played this game a while back and came back to complete it. I have to say, this game had potential and still does, but it has been seemingly forgotten. Further more, the game (more specifically the survival mode) feels incomplete. Things aren't well balanced, there's barely a difficulty curve, many of the missions feel the same, and you are never really given enough stuff to do anything you want to do. Throughout my entire play though, the drone barely changed. The biggest change was when I realized that wireless resources is broken and just started leaving all my stuff at the Nimbatus. You can't really call the survival mode a rogue like. It is a rogue like in the same way Minecraft Hardcore is a rogue like. While I have only said negative stuff for this game, I have to stress that I truly enjoyed it and wish this game gets more attention from it devs.

I've wasted hundreds of hours on making ships in sandbox and it's still (kinda) fun. But it hasn't gotten an update in 5 years. D:

Survival needs some serious work, similar to scrap mechanic it is an obvious afterthought. you dont get enough drone part, you never get a garage when you need it, and you inventory always ends up full of garbage you wont use there needs to be a way to sell parts and a way to fight rng so you dont get hit by the corp 4 times in a row and lose your run for no reason The red material is far too hard to get a hold of, the repairs get far too expensive far too quick, i dont see how i can get to galexy 10 when i have no resource canisters

If you liked Zachtronics games or other low-level automation games like Besiege, this is squarely within your tastes. Playing as the main classes of the game is a bit of an odd experience that doesn't seem to have decided what it wants to be, but if you like automation then just go ahead and play as the Programmer class. It's a fun experience.
